Introduction This document provides a detailed step-by-step to enroll your Android device in the SoMobile solution. Prerequisites 1. You must have the mail sent by SoMobile that contains user information to use this service (user group and some instructions to enroll the device). 2. You will need the own Google Account of the user (using a common Google Account will cause a lot of issues with Google Sync and application updates) in order to download the Airwatch application from the Google Play Store (formerly Android Market), which is needed to enroll. If user doesn t have one, please follow this link and follow instructions to create one : https://accounts.google.com/signup 3. Device must be connected to internet via a broadband network or a Wi-Fi network. 4. Notifications must be enabled on device (switch located at the top of the screen, in the notification center) 5. You must allow installation of non-market applications during the enrollment (check Allow installation of non-market apps box in Settings > Security of your device) in order to install a new component which provides more security options on supported devices (generally Samsung SAFE). This option can be disabled once the enrollment completed. 6. User must be member of dedicated SoMobile security group in ActiveDirectory in order to have access to corporate email synchronization. 7. If a corporate ActiveSync account is already configured on the device, it must be deleted before enrollment. It will be created by SoMobile. 1
Enrollment Steps Illustrations Instructions 1 On your smartphone, launch Play Store. You will be prompted to enter your Google Account (if not already done) or to create one. Then search for Airwatch Agent. 2 Tap on «Install» then tap on «Accept». 2
3 The AirWatch agent is installed. Tap on Open Select Server Details. 4 Enter the Server URL and your Group ID received in the SoMobile enrollment email then tap on Continue. 3
5 Enter your Sodexo credentials (Sodexo email address / Password) then tap OK. Select device ownership : - Corporate Dedicated if device is provided by Sodexo 6 - Corporate Shared if it is user s personal device used for business - Employee Owned if it is user s personal device Tap on Continue. 4
7 Read the Terms of Use then tap on Accept Wait few second. 8 Tap on Get Started then Continue. 5
9 The android system asks you if you want to activate Airwatch agent in administrator. Tap Activate. Tap on Device Settings to go to the Security menu. 10 Then tap on Unknown sources to allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store. Validate by taping OK and press back to continue AirWatch configuration. 6
Tap on Continue. You may be prompted to Install AirWatch Samsung Services. 11 This component provides more security features for supported devices. It may be HTC, LG, Sony Services, depending of the brand of your device. 12 Activate device administrator for Samsung Service by tapping Activate. 7
13 Tap on Device Settings to set a lockscreen. Choose PIN. Select the PIN code of your choice. Then tap Continue and confirm it. 14 The PIN code must be at least 4 digits. Simple combinations like 1234 or 0000 may not be accepted. 8
15 The configuration of the security is completed, tap Continue. Tap Continue to setup your email. 16 Type your Sodexo password and tap OK. 9
Your device is enrolled and profiles are being installed. 17 An AirWatch notification is received; you must go to Android notification centre to activate it. 18 An advertisement is prompted tap OK Wait while your mailbox is setting up. 10
19 You receive the security needed by your mailbox. Tap OK and then Activate. You have to encrypt you devices. Match the prerequisite : - Device must be plugged - Battery may be at least 80% full - You may use a complex password 20 Then tap Encrypt device and confirm you unlock password. Select Fast Encryption option. Then confirm by tapping Encrypt device. Wait while your device is encrypted. 11
21 After your device has rebooted, launch Email. Your mailbox may be synchronizing. 12
