Border #6 40. Border #6. Referring to Layout Diagram, sew one 5½" x 92½" Fabric E (vine print) rectangle to each long side of the Center. Sew one 5½" x 77½" Fabric D (vine print) rectangle between two Border #6 Corner Blocks for each top/bottom border, noting orientation of the Blocks. Sew top and bottom borders to the short sides of the Center. Top should now measure 87½" x 102½". Finishing 1. Prepare backing to measure approx. 96" x 115". Press seams open. 2. Layout the quilt top right side up on top of the batting and wrong side of the backing fabric. 3. Baste the layers together and quilt as desired. Trim backing and batting even with the quilt top. 4. Sew the ten 2½" x WOF Fabric F (light lattice print) strips together (end to end) using 45 seams to make a continuous strip. Fold strip in half lengthwise (with wrong sides together) and press.
