A D R O I T T E A M O F V O L U N T E E R S Charity Golf Day Results Adroit raises $86,000 for the The thirteenth Annual Adroit Insurance Group Charity Golf Day held on Thursday 20 November at 13 th Beach in Barwon Heads raised a whopping $86,000 in net funds. This brings the grand total of proceeds raised so far from the event to in excess of $750,000. This year Adroit recognised Karingal s the Eastern Geelong Community Centre Appeal. Adroit Insurance Group Managing Director Andrew Locke, with the support of their Community Partner the Geelong Community Foundation, chose to allocate the proceeds to the building of the Life Long Learning and Education facilities that will be a feature of Geelong s first fully inclusive community centre. Karingal CEO, Daryl Starkey said We launched our Appeal in June of this year and were delighted with the support from all of the community for what the Eastern Geelong Community Centre will achieve, and that is, nurture a community and set a precedent for what it means to be truly inclusive, Karingal CEO Daryl Starkey, Geelong Community Foundation Chairman Val Lawrence and Executive officer Andrew Lawson received a cheque for $86,000 at the now legendary seafood dinner held after the event. The 13th Beach Golf course was in wonderful condition and a great day of golf was had by the 160 players from the many local businesses who were supporting the event as well as the wider insurance community. This year the Crawford & Company Team of David Arthur, Paul Hutchinson, Aaron Bentley & Nick Baker won the competition for the Meatball Cup, named in honor of the late Graham Page, a past Director of Adroit Insurance Group.
