The way to use Software for PBX is use to Program system via Computer mode. 3S Charge Software, main features include PBX Program Setting & Modify, Charge System. It can monitor the present working situation for all CO Lines, Extensions, program & modify extension numbers, Class of Services, Walking COS etc; Record the date, time, duration, dialed number, dialing extension, total amount. You will see this picture at the desktop. Then connect the USB Watch dog to computer.

and connect DB25 to PBX, DB9 to computer RS232 port. 1-3 System Program 1-3-01, Software Start Click shortcut 3S Software at desk top. When the first time to open the software,it remind the verify data between PBX & Software. Then user can also see the communicate progress.

If the communication between PBX & Software failed, pls. go to COM setting to confirm the COM port,or to check if the cable connection is reliable or not. Setting > Port setting You will see the main picture for this software :

Click Login: User: admin ; Password: admin Then you can see the whole software picture and the PBX connecting of computer is available. At the software Windows left button: While you has choice to login out the software by click Logout 1-4 System Setting

1-4-01 Extension Setting (Parameter): id : Series number. Port: the extension port number. Ext: the current extension number. You can use the computer Mouse to double click the current extension, then the background color will be grey, you can input the new extension number,such as 1001, press Enter button at computer keyboard, then the new extension number being created, and the background color will turn to green. (Extension Flexible Numbering) Grade Service: it is to change the extension Toll Restriction Class. The factory class is 1 which means no restriction for any outgoing calls. You can use the computer Mouse to double click the current 1-3-02, Change the Extension Number

Choose Data Setting menu, then to extension menu. Double-click the desired extension number, then user can input the new number, press Enter. Extension change successfully if the number column display Green color, fails if display Yellow. Eg: In order to change all extensions leading number starting from 8xxx : Choose the desired extension column, click the right keypad in the mouse,add all extension numbers in series at one time, then input 8001, so all the extension number change to 8001,8002,8003 etc. 1-3-03, Class of Services Setting Double-click the relevant column of Class of Service, user can change the Class of Services freely. Press ENTER to confirm. Input 1 is Class 1, it is for free call. Input 2 is Class 2, it is for restriction of International Long-distance Call, and restrict leading numbers of 168 968 969 ; Input 3 is Class 3, it is for making Civic call only and restrict leading numbers of 168 968 969, but can open some long-distance call; Input 4 is Class 4, it is for making Civic call only and restrict leading numbers of 168 968 969 ; Input 5 is Class 5, it is for dialing Emergency Call only,like 110 112 etc; Input 6 is Class 6, it is for Intercom Call only.

1-3-04 Extension Caller ID Setting 1. In the extension parameter setting, double-click Caller ID, change Do not display to Display. This is for intercom Caller ID only. For the proprietary telephone, no need to set. 2. Regarding Incoming Caller ID, should add PBX Caller ID card, and modify the Caller ID parameter in CO Line Parameter. 1-3-05, Block Password 1. Block password purpose the same as Class of Services. 2. To check Block password is to delete the password once user set but forget the password.

1-3-06, Wakeup Call setting (Clock) 1. Every day the PBX can set 2times for Clock. That is Clock 1 or Clock 2. 2. Double-click the Clock column, input the relevant time (24hours). Eg: 6:00AM, then input 0600,press ENTER. 1-3-07, Alert Setting Including 3minites alarm, 6 and 9 minutes alarm, no alarm. System default is Alarm for both incoming & outgoing. If user want to set outgoing only, pls. go to Switch On/off Parameter. 1-3-08, Dialing-out Mode setting Including extension goes off hook is in Intercom mode or in External mode. That is, when extension goes off-hook, system is in Directly dialing-out mode or should dial 9 for PSTN line.

1-3-09, Exclusive Line Dialing-out Setting Double click the relevant Extension column, user can choose the desired extension to dial out exclusively. Other setting related include dial out in Day time or Night time. Remember is Line X is chosen as exclusive line dialing out, other extensions can t set this line exclusively any more. 1-3-10, Incoming Call Ringing Assignment Double click the relevant Extension column, choose any line, eg: line 1, as the incoming ringing line. All other extensions should cancel. Other related setting is ringing assignment in Day or Night time.

1-3-11, Extension Pickup Group Setting To join the group or quit, simple double click the desired extension column. In the same group, extension can be picked up each other. Total can be set four groups. In the default setting, all extensions already joined the 4-groups. 1-3-12, Enable or Disable CO Line (connect or disconnect) In CO Line parameter, double click the relevant CO Line column, user can choose whether connect or disconnect line. Remember if PBX system line port do not connect any PSTN line, it should set Disconnect mode, otherwise the outgoing call maybe no sound or can t dial out. 1-3-13, OGM Setting In CO Line parameter, double click the relevant column. There s also choice OGM valid in Day or Night time. User can choose relevantly. 1-3-14, CO Line Caller ID To enable this feature, Caller ID card should be installed in PBX system. Double click column of Caller ID, user can set this feature. For the Single Line Telephone, Extension Caller ID should also be set.

1-3-15, Charge Mode For the user to choose whether it is Time Delay charge or Reversal mode. 1-3-16, Router Line (dialing out mode) This is for call out to different lines. 1-4 Remote Program The technical can email Programmed Files (*mdb) to end users to help them to make program the PBX. Once receive the files, user can import the data. There s choices to start Extension Parameters, CO Line Parameters, Switch Parameters, Other Parameters etc. When finishes, user should log out software system and enter again to verify the data.

1-5 Real-time Monitor Include display the extension On-hook, Ringing, Talking, Busy, Make outside Call, Incoming Call etc.

1-6 Phone Cost Check Login in the main menu, click Phone Cost Enquiry : 1. Click Extension, then the cost will be listed. Can choose General Enquiry if user want check cost within some region. 2. The enquiry can be based on user s condition set. Open the monthly database can find the historic record. All data can be printed out. 1-7 Phone Charge Management This feature available for some hotels. The manager can assign password class to Operators. 1. Can set 6 Classes of Services; 2. Set clocks wakeup call. 3. Super Classes : It is similar to Class of Services. If the extension paid deposit but balance less than 0. The class is the same. If client pay deposit again and more than 0, the extension class will recover to original. 4. Deposit: Double click the column, input the deposit digital and press ENTER, if background turns green,the deposit is valid. The deposit can be added automatically. If operator want to delete the deposit, simply input 0.

1-7-01, Charge Data Backup In the System Parameter, user can make this choice to backup to PC hardware. 1-7-02, Password Parameters This is for the Manager to set Operator password, Operator classes and authority. To change or add, modify the passwords.

1-8 Software Backup In Data Parameter Backup, user can click button backup all data, to back up all parameters. 1-9 Connecting Hotel Management Software In Database Parameters, there s choice to connect Hotel Management Software. System will create a new file for the hotel management. 1-10 Remarks Parameter setting Switch on/off Parameter setting: Invalid in parameter (3) 16, Paging effect choice in MC-824KA. 18, Completely Flexible Extension coding, and non-completely Flexible Extension coding invalid. 15, Fixed OGM, OGM record invalid in MC-824KA. CO Line Parameter(2)- Router line, dialing 1 out, in MC-824KA, it should be dial 3 out.
