Program Manager Central California Asthma Project (CCAP) San Joaquin Valley Heath Consortium, Fresno, CA Successfully coordinated and managed the objectives of two $300,000 threeyear grants funded by the National Institutes of Health/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NIH/NHLBI) and The California Endowment to build, manage, evaluate and provide technical assistance for 6 asthma coalitions in 8 counties spanning over 13,700 square miles in Central California. This multi-faceted project gained national recognition for raising awareness related to childhood asthma as a growing healthcare epidemic in California. Managed a staff of 8, responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating health education and health and medical care services and delivery programs through the CCAP. Accountable for securing funding through research on and submissions to various medical foundations on behalf of the CCAP. Developed and maintained budgets and administered all program expenditures.
