Monika Edman Assistant Director of Pupil Services District Ms. Edman comes to Weston from Stratford Public Schools, where she served as the Pupil Services Coordinator. Prior to her work in Stratford, Monika worked for 20 years at Cooperative Educational Services in such roles as Program Administrator, Team Leader, and special education teacher. Ms. Edman holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, a Master of Science in Learning Disabilities, and a Sixth Year Professional Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.

Marc Feeley Social Studies Teacher Weston High School Mr. Feeley has taught history and social studies for over thirty-eight years for Wilton Public Schools. He has a Bachelor s Degree in History from Seton Hall University, New Jersey and a Master of Arts in American Studies from Fairfield University. Mr. Feeley is currently on the Board of Directors for the Shelton Historical Society and has published books and papers on Connecticut history. He will be teaching Modern World Studies at Weston High School.

Brad Holderbach Social Studies Teacher Weston High School Mr. Holderbach has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics; Minor in Business from the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona. Weston High School will be his first teaching experience. Prior to becoming an educator, Mr. Holderbach worked as a senior financial analyst at GE Capital Financial Services. Mr. Holderbach student taught 8 th grade U.S. history in East Hartford, and taught a SAT math prep course in Woodbury, Connecticut.

Susan Reens Math Teacher Weston High School Ms. Reens holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and a Master of Arts in Teaching and Foundations from Fairfield University. For the last 17 years, Susan has been a mathematics teacher, and she has served as the grades 6-12 Department Chair at Christian Heritage School, Trumbull Connecticut since 1999. Ms. Reens is the author of Adventures of Social Sally Mathbox which was published by the William K. Bradford Publishing Company. Adventures of Social Sally Mathbox integrates math and writing.

Darcy Ronan CIL (7-12 )Science Teacher Weston High School & Weston Middle School Ms. Ronan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College, and a Graduate Certificate from Framingham State College in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education. She is currently working on a Ph.D. in science education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ms. Ronan has been a doctoral research fellow and graduate assistant for Teachers College, Columbia. While pursuing her doctoral work at Teachers College, she partnered with Harlem Schools implementing inquiry-based FOSS science curriculum. She also spent five years working for Needham High School, Needham Massachusetts, as a science teacher and assisting with the Fine & Performing Arts Department.

Christopher Sadler Math Teacher Weston High School Mr. Sadler has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Fairfield University and a Master of Arts in Mathematics, minor in Secondary Education from Stonehill College, Massachusetts. Mr. Sadler worked as a math teacher at Newtown High School for the last 4 years and Fairfield College Preparatory School for 4 years.

Janice Utsogn Latin & English Teacher Weston High School Ms. Utsogn holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Ancient Languages from Wheaton College, Illinois and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Latin and Education from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennesse. Ms. Utsogn has spent the last few years teaching English and Latin in Ridgefield, New Fairfield, and New Canaan. She also studied ancient Greek and incorporates that into her teaching.

Dru Walters Assistant Principal Weston Middle School Mr. Walters began his education career as a pre-algebra and 7 th grade math teacher in the Fairfield school district. From there he held the position of Dean of Student Development at Derby Middle School before joining Weston this summer as Assistant Principal. Mr. Walters holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Vermont, and a Master of Arts in Education and Sixth Year Professional Diploma from Southern Connecticut State University.

Alyson Agler Math Teacher Weston Middle School Ms. Agler comes to Weston from Geraldine Johnson School, Bridgeport, where she taught 8 th grade math. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Actuarial Science from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education Mathematics from Fairfield University. Ms. Agler student taught at Madison Middle School, Trumbull and interned at Park City Charter School, Bridgeport.

Greg Ferro Math Teacher Weston Middle School Mr. Ferro joins Weston Middle School from the James A. Curiale School in Bridgeport, Connecticut where he was a middle school math teacher for the last two years. He also has been a SAT prep math teacher at the Caribe Youth Saturday Academy, also in Bridgeport. Mr. Ferro holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and is certified through Teach for America s Alternative Route to Certification Program. Prior to his career in education, he was a staff forecaster at the Metro Weather Service, Valley Stream, New York.

Tom MacDonald Social Studies Teacher Weston Middle School Mr. MacDonald is a familiar face in Weston. During the past year he was a district tutor, and prior to that he was an instructional paraprofessional at Weston Middle School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in American Studies from Fairfield University. Mr. MacDonald student taught at Tohickon Middle School and Curwensville Area High School, both in Pennsylvania.

David Rosvally Science Teacher Weston Middle School Mr. Rosvally has spent 9 years teaching science at Coleytown Middle School in Westport. He began his teaching career as a 4 th grade teacher at Roberts Avenue Elementary School, Danbury. Mr. Rosvally has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education/History from Western Connecticut State University and a Master of Science from Southern Connecticut State University in Middle School and Science Education.

Danielle Schindler Special Education Teacher Weston Middle School Weston Middle School will be Ms. Schindler s first teaching assignment. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Special Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology. She received the New England Scholar Award 3 times, made the Dean s List and graduated Cum Laude. Ms. Schindler interned at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury, Connecticut and student taught at Killingly Central School, Dayville, Connecticut.

Aimee Shuhart Library Media Specialist Weston Middle School Ms. Shuhart comes to Weston from the Westport Public Schools, where she was a Library Media Specialist for 11 years at Kings Highway Elementary School. Prior to her time at Kings Highway, Aimee was an elementary teacher in the Middlebury school district. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Trinity College, a Master of Science in Elementary Education from the University of New Haven, and a Sixth Year in Educational Technology from the University of Connecticut.

Nicole Wilhelm Assistant Principal Weston Intermediate School Ms. Wilhelm joins Weston Intermediate School after having worked as a literary specialist at Green s Farms School in Westport for the last 6 years. Prior to that, she was an elementary teacher (2 nd & 4 th Grade) at Kings Highway School, also in Westport. Ms. Wilhelm has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Connecticut University, and a Masters in Reading from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Amanda Greenberg 3rd Grade Teacher Weston Intermediate School Ms. Greenberg spent her first year of teaching at Green s Farms School in Westport. Prior to joining Westport, she interned at Bethany Community School in Bethany, Connecticut. Ms.Greenberg has a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Master in Elementary Education from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut.

Courtney Morrall 4th Grade Teacher Weston Intermediate School Ms. Morrall is a Cornell University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies. She also holds a Master of Arts in Childhood Education from City College of the City University of New York. Prior to moving to Connecticut, Ms. Morrall worked as an elementary teacher at the Aurora Schools in Oakland, California, and P.S. 187 Hudson Cliffs, New York, New York.

Janet Palazini 5th Grade Teacher Weston Intermediate School Ms. Palazini has a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College and a Masters in Elementary Education from Lesley University, Massachusetts. Ms. Palazini has worked the last 5 years at New Beginning Family Academy in Bridgeport having taught, 3 rd, 5 th, and 6 th grade. She also works as a 4 th and 6 th grade reading and writing teacher for Green s Farms Academy s Horizon Program in Westport.

Laura Kaddis Principal Hurlbutt Elementary School Ms. Kaddis comes to Weston with extensive experience as an elementary school principal. Ms. Kaddis was the Principal of Hayestown Elementary School in Danbury, Connecticut since 2002. Prior to her position in Danbury, Ms. Kaddis served as Assistant Principal of John Read Middle School in Redding, Connecticut, and as the Assistant Director of Summer Enrichment Programs in New Canaan, Connecticut. Ms. Kaddis holds a Masters of Education degree from University of California, Los Angeles, a Sixth Year degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University.

Briahna Drumm Kindergarten Teacher Hurlbutt Elementary School Ms. Drumm has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the NEAG School of Education, University of Connecticut. While attending NEAG, Ms. Drumm made Dean s List and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dianne Jones Speech & Language Pathologist Hurlbutt Elementary School Ms. Jones began working for Weston last year through an outside vendor at Hurlbutt Elementary School. Previously she worked for the Medical College of Wisconsin in the Department of Otolaryngology & Communication Disorders, and in Tokyo, Japan for Yokogawa Medical Systems. Ms. Jones has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Language Science from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Pennsylvania State University.

Shannon O Hara Kindergarten Teacher Hurlbutt Elementary School Ms. O Hara comes to Weston after spending the last 2 years teaching elementary school in Fairfax County, Virginia. Prior to that, she worked for Prince George s County school district in Maryland. Ms. O Hara holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from College Misericordia, Pennsylvania and a Master of Science Education in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

Melissa Millman Reading Teacher Hurlbutt Elementary School Ms. Millman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The George Washington University and a Master of Professional Studies in Elementary/Special Education from Manhattanville College. Ms. Millman has spent the last 8 years in Bridgeport Public Schools. She started in Bridgeport as a special education teacher in Grades 6-8, then became a PreKindergarten-4 reading intervention teacher. Most recently served as their literacy coordinator, prekindergarten-8.

Tricia Simon 2nd Grade Teacher Hurlbutt Elementary School For the past 12 years, Ms. Simon has worked as an elementary teacher for the Huntington Union Free school district in New York. Ms. Simon is also the Associate Director for the LuHi Summer Programs in Brookville, New York. Ms. Simon is a Duke University graduate, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and holds a Master of Science in Literacy from Long Island University. She was a 3 time All-American women s lacrosse player for Duke.
