BUSSICULO comes to Montclair State University from Cogent Consulting LLC in Summit, NJ, where he served as Infrastructure Support Manager. He has a background in maintaining and monitoring server applications and in designing, developing and analyzing relational databases as well as structured data analysis. He earned his bachelor s degree in Interpersonal Communications from William Paterson University. GERARD COSTA Director, Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health B.S. St. Peters College M.A. Fairleigh Dickinson University M.A. Temple University Ph.D. Temple University Dr. COSTA was founding director of the YCS Institute for Infant and Preschool Mental Health. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at UMDNJ, serves on the ICDL/DIR National Faculty, and is a consultant/trainer to the ZERO TO THREE initiative, Coming Together Around Military Families (CTAMF). He received his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Temple University and has conducted professional development in Infant Mental Health throughout the United States. He was appointed by the Governor to the New Jersey Council for Young Children in June 2010, and was awarded a Golden Bell Leadership Award by the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. He is a former Head Start director and was recently named to the Board of Directors of the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL). He is the author of numerous book chapters and articles in infant mental health. TAKEEM DEAN Assistant to the Dean, Office of the Dean B.A. Montclair State University M.A. Montclair State University MR. DEAN joins the CEHS Dean's Office after spending almost four years as the Community Director of the First-Year Connections Living Community in Residential Education and Services here at MSU. He has worked for Passaic Public Schools with elementary, secondary, and adult students. He has held positions at Seton Hall University, The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, North Carolina Central University, and The Juilliard School. Mr. Dean has presented at regional and national conferences on professional development, mentorship, livingin, preparing for on-campus interviews, and most recently questioning and queer male collegians of color. His research interest is black male engagement at predominately white institutions. In

2 his new role, he is responsible for project coordination, managing budget information, and assisting the Dean with gathering research information. KELLY GLOWACKI Advisor, Teacher Education Admission and Retention Office, Center of Pedagogy B.A. Montclair State University M.A. Montclair State University MS. GLOWACKI was a member of the Graduate School staff at Montclair State University for 10 years, from 1996 to Most recently she worked as an Academic Advisor at Rivier College in New Hampshire. She returns to MSU as Program Advisor for the Teacher Education Admission and Retention Office within the Center of Pedagogy. In this role, Kelly will be coordinating admission to and retention in the Teacher Education program for undergraduate and graduate students, with a particular focus on Early Childhood and Elementary teacher certification programs. TIFFANY KLOEPPEL B.S. Montana State University, Billings M.S. California State University, East Bay Ph.D. Arizona State University DR. KLOEPPEL recently completed her doctorate in Physical Education at Arizona State University. Her dissertation, entitled Teacher Use of Curricular Models: Content Taught and Student Outcomes, reflects her research interests in teacher fidelity to Physical Education curricula as well as measurement of student physical activity outcomes. She has presented papers at numerous professional conferences including AERA and AAHPERD. She has two manuscripts currently accepted for publication in The Physical Educator and Strategies. She has taught elementary Physical Education in Fremont, CA and Phoenix, AZ. She also teaches group exercise classes at a major fitness corporation in her free time. PETRA KNOX Program Assistant, Counseling and Educational Leadership B.A. Juniata College M.A. Villanova University MS. KNOX, prior to coming to MSU, was Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Kean University from 1999 to Before that, she was at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she was Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions from and Director of Graduate Admissions from She brings considerable experience in higher education administration to her new position at MSU, where she serves as the Program Assistant for the Ph.D. Program in Counselor Education.

3 EDEN KYSE Senior Research Associate, Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS) B.A. Binghamton University M.Phil. The Graduate Center, CUNY Ph.D. The Graduate Center, CUNY DR. KYSE received her doctorate in Educational Psychology, specializing in Quantitative Methods in Educational and Psychological Research, from CUNY s Graduate Center. She joins the newly created Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS) with expertise in program evaluation, research design and methodology, field research, and statistical analysis and interpretation. Since 2004, she has conducted evaluations of numerous initiatives, including projects related to literacy, mathematics, science, arts education, teacher professional development, community health, and social emotional learning. Dr. Kyse has also worked as a statistical consultant and taught college courses in educational psychology and research methods. MICHELLE JIMENEZ Program Assistant, Montclair State University Network for Educational Renewal (MSUNER) B.A. Rutgers College, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey M.A. Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University MS. JIMENEZ joins MSU from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she served as a Program Support Coordinator for the Child Health Program, a program supporting the health care needs of children in the foster care system in collaboration with the Division of Youth and Family Services. In addition to program administration, she has also provided a variety of direct services, including drug and alcohol counseling, rape crisis counseling, HIV/AIDS prevention, and, more recently, cancer support services at the American Cancer Society in New York City. Ms. Jimenez is also a Professional Organizer specializing in designing systems for new businesses. In her new role, she will assist the MSUNER Director in program coordination, and office and budget management. STEVEN LEIGH B.S. Loughborough University, England M.S. University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Ph.D. University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill DR. LEIGH earned his doctorate in Human Movement Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research interests are in sports performance enhancement, and injury prevention and rehabilitation, with an emphasis on throwing sports and shoulder and elbow injury prevention. He has worked with USA Track and Field, providing technique analysis for athletes and coaches, and has published research articles in the Journal of Biomechanics and Sports Biomechanics.

MURRAY completed his doctoral degree in Nutrition and Food Science at Auburn University, where he was awarded the Malone-Zallen Graduate Research Fellowship. In addition to his teaching and research experience, Dr. Murray brings extensive food management expertise, having held leadership positions in chain restaurant operations, private clubs, and institutions. He has been published in the Journal of Human Resources in Hospitality and Tourism. His most recent manuscript is currently in press with the British Food Journal. DANIELLE PARISI Curriculum and Teaching Department B.A. University of Chicago M.S. University of Oregon Ph.D. University of Oregon DR. PARISI received her M.S. in Special Education in 2007 and her Ph.D. in School Psychology in 2009 from the University of Oregon. She worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and was an adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California prior to coming to MSU. Her interests are in systems level prevention of academic difficulties through the implementation of Response to Intervention service delivery models, evidence-based instructional practices, and data-based decision making. Her dissertation explored the relations between multiple dimensions of implementation fidelity of evidence-based reading interventions and early reading outcomes. KRISTIN SCRABIS-FLETCHER B.A. Pennsylvania State University M. A. University of Maryland M. Phil. Teachers College, Columbia University Ph.D. Teachers College, Columbia University DR. SCRABIS-FLETCHER joins Montclair State University after having been an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware. She completed her doctorate at Teachers College, Columbia University while also serving as an adjunct instructor at MSU. Dr. Scrabis-Fletcher's research interests in examining socio-cultural factors that influence student experience and learning in physical education are rooted in her experiences as a middle school health and physical education teacher. She has recently begun investigating academic integration in physical education, including studying pre-service and new teachers abilities to implement interdisciplinary teaching and learning activities within the physical education curriculum. She

5 has presented her work at the national and regional level and has publications in Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport and the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education.
