Volume 1, Issue 3 Page 3 Maple Leafs News and Notes Another new Era is beginning in the Leaf nation. As part of their restructuring and revamping of the organization, the Leafs are planning to name Brian Burke as president and GM of the team. The former Anaheim GM signed a 6 year deal with the team after managing the Ducks for the past 3 years; including their Stanley Cup year in 2007. He should fit in well with new coach, Ron Wilson. Burke and Wilson were roommates in college together. Hopefully, this will be another step to guide the team in the right direction! Other Recent News and notes.. *The Leafs have acquired forward Lee Stempniak from the St. Louis Blues *Former Royal, Jeff Finger missed 7 games at the beginning of the season due to injury. Since returning, he has played in 15 games. He has 1 goal and 4 assists during that time. 6 Degrees of Separation Royals Style His Name is Bruce Boudreau.
