MILAN EXPO 2015 Milan Expo 2015 is a novel and innovative event, much more than a Universal Exhibition. It is an event that will engage its numerous participants on the decisive theme: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. 184 event days, from the 1st May to the 31st October, with over 140 participant countries and exhibition grounds that cover an area of one million square meters, Milan Expo 2015 expects to welcome over 20 million visitors.
A JOURNEY THROUGH FLAVOUR Visitors, personally engaged in themed tours which give insight into the complexity of the world of food, will have the opportunity to go on a personal journey through the world of flavor and the traditions of man. Expo Milano 2015 will be the first exhibition in history remembered not just for its produce, but most especially for its contribution to the debate on nutrition education, food and global resources.
CLUSTERS Clusters are one of the many novelties at Expo Milano 2015: for the first time country pavilions are not grouped geographically but by identity and by food type. In this way the Expo theme Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life is treated diffusely, incarnating the spirit of these spaces which are devised for sharing, for dialogue and for interaction. Clusters are characterized by common activities (markets, exhibitions, events, tastings) which develop the food chain. Each participant country has an individual exhibition space in the various clusters where they are free to develop their interpretation of the Expo Milano 2015 theme.
