Experiential Learning Study Abroad All UW study abroad opportunities are available to UW Bothell students. Opportunities range from 1 week faculty-led trips to entire quarters/semesters/years spent living, studying, and/or working abroad. Undergraduate Research Three-quarters of UW Bothell faculty have provided research opportunities to students. UW Bothell students have no competition from doctoral students for RA and project mentoring opportunities with faculty. Internship Opportunities Internship courses (2-10 credits) allow students to apply the knowledge and skills learned in their degree program to a variety of work environments. Internship credits can also be earned with a student s current employer Paid and unpaid internships are available to UW Bothell students every quarter Many degree programs have internships built into the bachelor degree requirements. Engineering Mentor Night introduces students to local professional engineers - can lead to future mentoring, internship, and employment opportunities. UW Bothell students have completed internships with Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, Washington State Legislature, state/federal agencies, and dozens of other local companies, agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Additional Announcements New admission guarantee pathways available to transfer students in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences and Biology! (see handouts for details) Transfer students with a 3.5 or higher GPA are automatically considered for a scholarship, no separate application is required! UW Bothell is the largest branch campus in the state of Washington. In September 2013, the UW Bothell Electrical Engineering program received full ABET accreditation. All graduates of the program are retroactively included under the umbrella of the ABET accreditation. UW Bothell is now the second largest producer of computer science bachelors degrees in the state. UW Bothell students received a record number of merit scholarships, including two student Fullbright Awards. UW Bothell welcomed 29 new faculty in 2013, the largest faculty class ever. 31% of UW Bothell students are over the age of 25. Post-baccalaureate applications are welcome The average undergraduate class size is 31. On-campus apartment-style housing is available.
