It is a pleasant and safe environment for students to focus on their studies and live comfortably and affordably. STUDENT VISA For fall and spring semesters, undergraduate students are required to be registered for 12 credits, and graduate students for 9 credits. F-1 VISA F1 is a visa category that allows foreign nationals to study in the United States. This visa is issued by US embassies and US consulates. It requires students to maintain full-time student status at all times, and make satisfactory progress towards program completion. F-2 VISA F-2 is a visa category that allows dependents (spouses and children) of foreign nationals to accompany F-1 visa holder in the US. I20 DOCUMENT I-20 is a US government document which allows students to enter the United States on an F-1 visa. This is issued by the Office of International Education and is needed to secure an appointment with the US Embassy or consulate for an F-1/F-2 visa. Students must have it re-signed by the Office of International Education prior to travel home country for re-entry into the United States. J-1 VISA J-1 is a visa category that allows foreign students/scholars from partner institutions to study or conduct research in an US university for a short period. DS- 2019 DS- 2019 is a US government document which allows students to enter the United States on a J-1 visa. This is issued by the Office of International Education. This is needed to secure an appointment with the US Embassy or consulate for a J1 visa.
