Borrow Direct Office Lending Workflow Printing Bookbands The workflow described in this document is for use on machines in the Widener, Countway, and Harvard Depository Borrow Direct Offices using the Borrow Direct Staff Interface. This workflow must be performed on machines with fixed IP addresses that have been registered with Relais. Countway 134.174.151.49 134.174.151.224 134.174.151.6 Harvard Depository 128.103.154.102 128.103.154.253 Widener 140.247.137.1 PLEASE NOTE: The supplier name listed in the properties section of the print client must match exactly with the text for your unit as listed below, or the system will print YALE requests. If you get a new computer, this will have to be reset. To Set Print Queue Target 1. Open the Relais 2010 shortcut on the desktop. NOTE: Do not open the print queue, as the unconfigured software will connect to the Relais system and print requests from other institutions. 2. Right mouse click on Print Request. Select Properties. 3. Copy the path below into the Target field for the unit. Countway Borrow Direct Office machines should be configured with: C:\RelaisILL2010\PrintRequest.exe "HARVARD COUNTWAY" Harvard Depository Borrow Direct Office machines should be configured with C:\RelaisILL2010\PrintRequest.exe "HARVARD DEPOSITORY" Widener Borrow Direct Office machines should be configured with: C:\RelaisILL2010\PrintRequest.exe "HARVARD WIDENER" 4. Click Apply. Click OK. Regular Printing of Batches of Bookbands Book bands are sorted first by collection, then by call number. 1. Check that default printer has bookband paper. 2. 3. Double click the Print Request program. 4. The print request window will open. It will connect to the Relais database and search the print request queue for eligible requests. 4. It will then begin printing the requests. The number of requests and the request currently sent to the printer is indicated in the lower right hand corner. 5. Reprinting a Single Bookband or Batches of Bookbands NOTE: Reprinting a single request or partial batch of requests associates the reprinted request(s) with a new date and time, and therefore a new batch. This essentially breaks the original batch of requests into smaller sub batches. If you try to print the request(s) a third time, only the sub batch will reprint, not the original batch. Check that default printer has bookband paper. 1. Open the Relais 2010 shortcut on the desktop. 2. Double click the Print Request program. 3. The Reprint Request window with open. 4. Select the correct printing option from the right hand list of options. To print a single bookband (for use on multiple volumes or to replace a damaged band, select Pick Sheet and scan in the request number into the First Request field. To reprint an entire batch, select Complete Batch and scan in the request number into the Batch Request field. To restart printing if a batch was interrupted, select Remainder of Batch. Book bands are sorted first by collection, then by call number. This option prints out all collection/call number combinations that sort after the collection/call number of the request number.
