What is QTEM? QTEM is a challenging opportunity addressed to outstanding students (up to 20) willing to develop skills in analytical and quantitative techniques and decision-making in an international context. Students that may apply for this program are: LUISS students currently enrolled in the 1 st year of Economia e Finanza, majors Banche e Intermediari Finanziari, Economics and Finance; LUISS students currently enrolled in the 1 st year of Management, major Corporate Finance (these students must complete their study plan with the course of Theory of Finance of prof. Nicola Borri offered during the second semester); LUISS students currently enrolled in the 3 rd year of their Bachelor Degree and LUISS graduates willing to enroll in one of the above mentioned Master Degrees, starting from the 2015-2016 academic year and are compliant with the access requirements. Bachelor Degree students must graduate by July 2015 and graduate students must have graduated between March 2014 and July 2015; Graduate/graduating students from other universities in a bachelor degree that fulfills the requirements to enroll in one of the above mentioned Master Degrees at LUISS, and graduating between March 2014 and July 2015. The outcome of the QTEM programme is the QTEM supra-national certificate awarded by the QTEM network on top of their Master s Degree awarded by LUISS
Programme Structure Spend 2 semesters abroad during the 2 years Master (Laurea Magistrale); Complete a minimum 50 quantitative ECTS during their experience abroad, with a minimum of 22 quantitative ECTS at each Host University; Undertake an internship of minimum 300 hours; Write a Master Thesis according to the rules established by the LUISS student Office. To be eligible for the QTEM Master s Thesis Award the thesis must be written in English and be in a subject is related to a quantitative topic and has a significant quantitative content; Complete 20 ECTS among those completed abroad in one specific QTEM module.

Business Intelligence and Big Data 1) Quantitative Techniques & Tools 2) Business Intelligence Others (not a QTEM Module) 1) Organization, Society & Culture During their mobility, students must: Select courses in the QTEM course database Reach a minimum of 50 quantitative ECTS during their mobilities and a minimum of 22 quantitative ECTS per exchange; Complete a minimum of one QTEM Module, i.e., 20 ECTS of courses in the same module across the two QTEM exchanges During their mobility, students could also complete additional QTEM Modules: A Module is awarded upon passing a minimum of 20 ECTS of courses within the same Module A Module can be completed at two different Academic Partners The maximum number of QTEM modules awarded during the QTEM Master is 2
QTEM pre-requisites Academic pre-requisetes (TBC): - Bachelor Students will be required to have completed a certain amount of ECTS by Febuary 2015 (80% obtainable ECTS TBC) - Master students will be required to have passed a minimum of 2 exams by February 2015 Language: - TOEFL 90/120 (IBT) IELTS 6.5 (certificates not older than 2 years) - LUISS certificate issued by CLA, Level C1 In case students do not hold one of the requested proofs of English language knowledge, they will have to pass an ad hoc test, to be held at LUISS. The following students are exempted from presenting the above mentioned language certificates: Students enrolled in the third year of Economics & Business; Economics & Business graduates; Students from other universities that are completing/completed a bachelor degree totally taught in English
QTEM requisites Eligible students must possess the following requirements: - GMAT with a minimum score of 600/800 (650 strongly recommended). QTEM does not take the sections Analytical Writing Assessment and Integrated Reasoning into account. A provisional certificate is acceptable. Applicants should take the GMAT test before February 1 st. (Certificate not older than 3 years). Please know that there will be a GMAT practice test on November 14 from 2:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in Aula Info 306 at Viale Romania. -The GRE revised General Test is also accepted for QTEM, as an alternative to the GMAT test. The GMAT-equivalent score, necessary for QTEM procedures, is computed based on the conversion tool published by ETS (http://www.ets.org/s/gre/flash/bschool/comparison/17302/170/index.html). (Certificate not older than 3 years) Candidates who submit their application without presenting the GMAT/GRE certificate will be considered after the candidates who submit the GMAT in their application. Candidates will be required to present the GMAT/GRE, if selected, at the latest before the starting of the first mobility.
QTEM selection process and compatibility Step 1: The eligible candidates will be ranked based on their GMAT/GRE, English language proficiency, academic performance and an analysis of their curriculum vitae and motivation letter. The Academic Commission will rank eligible students and create the short list for the next step. Step 2: The interview, which will be held in English, will be carried out by a member/members of the Academic Commission, the International Development Office Staff and QTEM corporate partners representatives. In case a candidate is not considered suitable for the Program, he/she will not be selected regardless of the academic performance, the positioning in the applicants ranking and the number of available slots. Step 3: LUISS will select up to 20 students and the names of these students will be communicated to QTEM s Central Office (QTEaM) that will rank students considering also the names of students selected by the other QTEM university partners received. QTEM Central Office (QTEaM) will assign by March 2015 to selected students the destinations for the Fall semester (A.Y. 2015-16) whereas the Spring semester (A.Y. 2015-16) will be assigned by the end of June 2015. Step 4: Selected students currently enrolled in the third year will be required to graduate by July 2015 and to be admitted among the Masters (Laurea Magistrale) for which QTEM is opened by July 2015 Compatibility: The application to this Programme is compatible with the application for the Erasmus Programme or Bilateral Exchanges and with the Double Degrees programme with the University of Nova, City University London Cass Business School, University of Fudan, EBS University and Fordham Graduate School of Business (the last program is open only to students enrolled in Finance and Banche e Intermediari Finanziari).
