2 LUISS services INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICE WORKING ON CREATING NEW INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICE SERVICES Among the many services offered by LUISS, the International Development Office (IDO) is one of the most recently created and it has grown significantly. The main purpose of the IDO is to enlarge LUISS network of partner universities and to create new international programs in order to meet students needs for international mobility. The International Development Office can be considered as complementary to the LUISS Exchange Office (Ufficio Scambi Internazionali) since it deals with international mobility by developing a new track of opportunities. The types of programs currently offered by our office and available to LUISS students belonging to some specific degrees (Bachelor, Single Cycle and Master level) are the following:

Structured partnership This is an exchange program with a structured curriculum of the duration of one year, fully integrated between luiss and a partner university. Currently, luiss offers one structured partnership with the Utrecht School of Economics (The Netherlands). First year Bachelor students enrolled in the Economics and Business program. Q Double degree programs These programs consist in a structured curriculum fully integrated between luiss and a partner university of the duration of two years generally at the Master s level at the end of which students will obtain a double degree, one issued by luiss and one issued by the partner university. Currently, luiss offers three double degree programs in partnership with: EBS, European Business School, Rheingau/ Wiesbaden (Germany) DDIM, Fudan University, Shanghai (China) NOVA, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal) EBS Third year Bachelor students enrolled either in the Economics and Business or in the Economia e Management programs. The enrollment to the luiss Master s Degree in General Management is a necessary condition. Students go abroad in the first year of Master s Degree DDIM Third year Bachelor students enrolled in any of bachelor program offered by the Departments of Economics and Finance or Business and Management, plus external candidates. The enrollment to the luiss Master s degree course in General Management is a necessary condition. Students go abroad in the first year of Master s Degree. NOVA First year Master students enrolled either in General Management and willing to choose the concentrations in Management of Innovation, Finance or International Business or in Economia e Finanza willing to select the Major in Financial Economics. Students go abroad in the second year of Master s Degree. W Joint educational program This program currently offers luiss students the opportunity to obtain a LLM title abroad, on top of their luiss Master s Degree in Law. luiss offers one joint educational program in partnership with Fordham University (USA). Fourth year students of the Department of Law who have chosen the Major in International Law Profilo internazionale e comunitario. Students go abroad in the fifth year of Single Cycle Program.

4 E Combined program This program currently offers luiss students the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor s degree abroad, on top of their luiss Master s Degree in General Management. luiss offers one combined program in partnership with the University of British Colombia (Canada). The mobility between luiss and UBC will be activated in the near future. y SUMMER TERM Students can apply to take a number of courses at a partner university. The courses can be chosen from a list provided by the Partner University's Summer Term and will be recognized within the students' curriculum at luiss. Currently, luiss offers one Summer term in partnership with Stanford University (USA). Undergraduate students enrolled either in the Economics and Business or in the Economia e Management programs. Please keep in mind that generally new calls for applications for the programs will be published during the first semester of the academic year.
