We are trained to express our ideas through seminars, presentations and class discussions. The communication skills I ve gained has enhanced my confidence in conducting meetings with ministers and my superiors. Dr Wong Chin Chin Doctor of Philosophy, 2013 The 14th Annual Faculty Doctoral Conference, Australia (2009) Best Presenter Award Account Manager (IT/ Telco) in Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (Society for Consumer Research) (GfK) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I had chosen Monash University Malaysia not just for its prestige but also its proximity to home, which allowed me to undertake my research in collaboration with British Telecommunications plc in Malaysia during the early stage of my PhD years. BT has maintained a close working relationship with Monash and that gave me the exposure to both academic and industrial research. A PhD from Monash has also given me the necessary skill to become a specialist and opened up job prospects in both the academia and the industry. Dr Radi Jarrar Doctor of Philosophy, 2013 Application Consultant, Quintiq Sdn Bhd Monash Malaysia is equipped with top-notch facilities with the aim to help its students to excel at their studies. Dr Aiman Bin Ahmad Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Hons), 2011 Honours Degree of Bachelor of Medical Sciences, 2012 John Desmond Prize in Occupational Medicine recipient 2010 Medical Intern, Hamad General Hospital, Doha, Qatar Not only did I gain knowledge and skills during my studies at Monash, I also learned other vital skills such as teamwork, time management, leadership, interpersonal and cross-cultural communication, all of which are crucial for me as a medical practitioner. I had a great time gaining an immense amount of knowledge and skills from supervisors and colleagues through discussion and collaboration. All these allowed me to work towards reaching my full potential as a student, and hopefully this experience will continue to motivate me to achieve much more in the future. This annual survey involving global CEOs and recruiters reflects the superior attributes and adaptability of Monash graduates. In Malaysia, the top employers of our graduates are leading multinational companies seeking the best young talent for their apprenticeship programs. One of the best recognitions for Monash Malaysia by the industry and government is through our scholarship program. Every year, we add more prestigious names to our already illustrious list of companies and organisations offering scholarships to our students. One such award is the Abbvie Young Leaders Scholarship which not only offers its recipients cash rewards but also internship opportunities. Apart from being recognised academically, one of our students has also been presented with the Maxis Scholarship for Excellence Award, which judged its candidates based on their co-curricular activities and what they are passionate about.
