2 JASPERS Networking Platform - Mission Needs assessment (performed in 2011): A Networking Platform should be created for EU-12, EU-15, and pre-accession countries to spread knowledge and best practices Mission: complement JASPERS project advisory with capacity building, knowledge sharing, exchange of good practices and resolution of common project preparation issues. Objectives: Consolidate JASPERS horizontal support activities Disseminate JASPERS guidance, horizontal studies and relevant knowledge. Implement effective capacity building activities (concrete and interactive, practitioners-driven) Provide a framework for networking/collaboration, enable exchange of information, experiences and good practices

4 Achievements and Feedback 2013 Operations started in late 2012 Launch event and prototype web portal operational in March 2013 Over 4,300 visits in first year Over 20,000 page views 5,000 downloads 6 main dissemination and capacity building events in 2013 Over 320 people attending key events in Brussels (largely from Member States) Several ad-hoc roundtables with JASPERS and EC officials 10 thematic publications and working papers Unanimous support for the Networking Platform as an important pillar of JASPERS activities during 2014-2020

Networking Platform activities Workshops and Seminars: addressing specific issues and topics relevant to project preparation and implementation presenting JASPERS outputs, horizontal studies and other relevant knowledge Development and dissemination of guidelines, how-to-do guides, case studies, model projects and standard toolkits. Targeted capacity building events Forums for exchange of experiences, dissemination of good practices and lessons learned, plus networking. Activities directly requested or promoted by Members, where relevant to the objectives of the JASPERS Networking Platform 5
