2 Asia LEDS Partnership is part of the LEDS Global Partnership Mission of the LEDS GP Harness the collective knowledge and resources of governments, donors and international organizations, and practitioners in scaling up and strengthening implementation of climate-resilient low emission development around the world. Objectives of the LEDS GP Strengthen support for Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) Mobilize capacity and advance peer-to-peer learning and collaboration on LEDS Improve coordination of LEDS at the country, regional, and global levels Since its launch in 2011 the LEDS GP has become a vibrant platform for peer learning and collaboration.

5 What is the Asia LEDS Partnership? The Asia Low Emission Development Strategies Partnership is one of three regional platforms of the LEDS Global Partnership, serving as a voluntary regional platform to promote and enable low-emission, climate-resilient development across the Asia and Pacific region through peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing, and improved coordination and cooperation among governmental and non-governmental partners to help Asian countries achieve transformative, sustainable economic growth in the 21st century. Members include organizations and individuals from the public, private, and non-governmental sectors active in designing, promoting, and/or implementing LEDS and

6 Vision and Goal The vision for the Asia LEDS Partnership is broad sustainable development, robust economic progress, and low GHG emissions, with countries adopting and implementing LEDS and green growth practices across all sectors. The Asia LEDS Partnership goal is to advance the development of country-led strategic plans to promote economic growth while reducing GHG emissions* in the Asia region. * In relative and/or absolute terms, and considering trade-offs to other environmental, social, and development pressures

19 Curate Existing Training Resources for Online Access There are existing relevant, high-quality training offerings on LEDS and related topics from many sources. The ALP will screen them to identify the most appropriate training resources and streamline access to those resources for members through the ALP website. New ALP webpages will feature integrated curricula (including trainings on finance readiness and access to finance) to allow members to directly access nocost offerings.

20 Custom Training Offerings Coordinate in-person training delivery at ALP events ALP provides an open platform for content providers to offer half-day or full-day training at partnership events. Coordinate new training content development ALP will serve as a convener to engage partners in collaborative design of a curriculum, development of content (in response to need) where it does not yet exist and delivery of content to members.

21 Upcoming Regional Workshops Regional workshop on Creating Enabling Environments to Mobilize Private Investment for Green Growth and Low-Emission Development in the Agriculture Sector in Asia (Vietnam, October 2015) Focus will be on agriculture, rural areas, and livelihoods Main target audiences are government (e.g., state banks, relevant ministries), commercial banks (local and international), NGOs active on-the-ground, and other private sector representatives Country-specific outputs: Concrete recommendations from the private sector for how government can strengthen policies to create an effective enabling environment for investment. Action plans to accelerate investment, and priority focus areas in the plans. Regional workshop on Creating Enabling Environments to Mobilize Private Investment for Green Growth and Low-Emission Development through Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

22 Remote Expert Assistance on LEDS ( REAL ) How does REAL work? Developing country governments and technical institutes are encouraged to submit requests for nocost technical assistance on LEDS analysis, policy, and related issues ALP matches these requests with international experts who provide advice to country teams on ways to overcome challenges and advance LEDS and green growth action Eligibility: Requestor must be an Asia LEDS Partnership member Must be a developing country government agency or initiative (or a supporting consultant, technical
