Temple provides a responsive and flexible approach, using the expertise and experience of the members of staff from City College, Birmingham (Bob Hughes and Patric Thomas) who have between them well over 20 years experience of delivering these qualifications, together with many years of relevant industrial and business experience. These are CILT(UK) costs and subject to CILT(UK) prices increases. Once registered Learners receive complementary Learner Affiliate Membership of CILT(UK), at no additional cost, for the entire duration of their study within their registration period. After the registration period above extra fees are payable to CILT(UK) if a learner has not completed their studies and wishes to continue: o o Level 2 & Level 3 Certificates - 68 per 6 months extension Level 5 Diploma - 88 per 6 months extension

CILT (UK) Level 2 CERTIFICATE in Logistics & Transport What is the CILT(UK) Level 2 Certificate? It is an introductory qualification giving a broad understanding of the integrated supply-chain with relevance to movement of goods and people Who is the CILT(UK) Level 2 Certificate intended for? For people entering the profession, career changers and learners at secondary or further education level It can be undertaken as part of an induction, or for those in other disciplines working in a logistics or transport environment It can be undertaken by those currently not in employment What does it cover? The CILT(UK) Level 2 Certificate covers: Core Units (compulsory) Elective Units (chose 2) Introduction to Logistics Introduction to Customer Service and Marketing Introduction to Freight Transport Services Introduction to Warehousing and Inventory Introduction to Procurement Introduction to Planning and Operation of Freight Transport What Entry Qualifications do I need? This qualification is open access and no prior qualifications are required. However, a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy will be required to be successful. How and where do I study? This course is offered on a flexible distance learning basis, with tutor support by email and telephone. How long does the course take? Because of the flexible approach to delivery this depends upon the time an individual is able to devote to personal study. However, as a guide, it can be expected to complete the course in a year on a part-time basis. Can I study individual units? Yes you can study just the individual units that are relevant and of interest to you. Upon successful completion of the unit you will gain the Certificate for that Unit. Progression On Completion of the Level 2 Certificate the following progression routes could apply: CILT(UK) Level 3 Certificate Thereafter, CILT(UK) Level 5 Professional Diploma and higher qualifications Are CILT(UK) qualifications recognised nationally and globally? They are developed in conjunction with leading industry representatives. The CILT(UK) is recognised by the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Logistics, representing the logistics sector for both manufacturing and service industry There is employer sponsorship of many learners.

CILT (UK) Level 3 CERTIFICATE in Logistics & Transport What is the CILT(UK) Certificate? It is a qualification designed to provide a sound foundation for a career within the supply chain and transport field that will equip potential supervisors and first-line managers with a complete set of management skills. Who is the CILT(UK) Certificate intended for? New or first-line managers Aspiring first-line supervisors Experienced supervisors and first line managers Career changers What does it cover? The CILT(UK) Certificate covers: Core Units (compulsory) Business Theory Business Application Elective Units (choose ONE) Warehousing Freight Transport Operations What Entry Qualifications do I need? This qualification is open access and no prior qualifications are required. However, it is recommended that individuals wishing to undertake the CILT(UK) Certificate should be involved with contributing to the establishment of activity plans to support logistics and transport operations and managing and controlling operational activities. How and where do I study? The Level 3 Certificate course is currently run as distance learning only. Because we run the course on a modular basis, there is flexibility about when you can join. A personal tutor is allocated to you with unlimited access by email and phone. One to one meetings at our Training Centre can also be arranged as required by the learner. How long does the course take? The full course is designed for a nominal length of study of 240 hours; this will normally be 3 hours one evening a week for two years for a classroom-based option. The distance learning gives flexibility (with tutor support by email and telephone), the timescale depending on what time you are able to devote to personal study. Can I study individual units? Yes you can study just the individual units that are relevant and of interest to you. Upon successful completion of the unit you will gain the Certificate for that Unit. Progression The Certificate is part of a series of qualifications at Certificate level, which are each targeted at slightly different markets. On Completion of the Certificate the following progression routes could apply:- CILT(UK) Professional Diploma Thereafter progression to higher level qualifications.

CILT (UK) Level 5 PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA in Logistics & Transport What is the CILT(UK) Diploma? It is a qualification designed to equip and develop senior managers with the skills relevant to a career within the supply chain and transport field and to encourage improved strategic and operational effectiveness Who is the CILT(UK) Diploma intended for? Managers and senior managers in logistics, particularly with strategic responsibilities Aspiring senior managers in logistics Graduates requiring a logistics qualification Career changers What does it cover? The CILT(UK) Diploma covers: Core Units (compulsory) Elective Units Option Units Management Supply Chain Warehousing Transport Operations Project Management International Business Please note the most popular options are indicated above Combinations of Options To gain the Diploma you need to complete a total of FOUR units, as follows: Core Management Unit At least ONE Elective Unit A further TWO Units any combination of Option or Elective Units So as well as the Core Management Unit, you will need to complete either one Elective and two Options, or two Electives and one Option. What Entry Qualifications do I need? In many cases a student will have completed the CILT(UK) Certificate or similar relevant qualification prior to entry on the course. However, learners with relevant experience, or graduates in other subjects, will be considered It is recommended that individuals wishing to undertake the CILT(UK) Diploma should be involved with contributing to the establishment of activity plans to support logistics and transport operations and managing and controlling operational activities How and where do I study? The course is currently running on a Tuesday evening. Because we run the course on a modular basis, there is flexibility about when you can join.
