Personal and Small Business Internet Banking (cont.) New level of security in online banking CHANGE Personal and Small Business Online Banking users will now have a powerful new way to reduce fraud. It s called Secure Sign On. Protecting your online information is a top priority for us. For security purposes, upon your first login, you will be prompted to enroll in Secure Sign On. Three simple steps to online safety With Secure Sign On, you simply choose an image, write a brief phrase and select four challenge questions. When you access online banking, your personalized image and phrase will be displayed to validate that the website is legitimate, not a phony site used by a hacker trying to get your personal information. If you log in from a computer that is not recognized, you will be prompted to answer your challenge questions before you may access your account information. The new system provides added safety by helping us to identify you and prevent unauthorized access to your accounts. Your enhanced security begins Mon., March 18, when you log in to online banking and follow the instructions to set up your phrase and challenge questions. 1. Choose an image. 2. Write a personal phrase. 3. Select four challenge questions. Berkshire Bank will never ask you in an email, text, or by telephone for your email address, password or challenge question answers. For your protection, bank to bank transfers will not convert. If you currently use this function with Beacon, please sign-up for External Transfers with Berkshire Bank after Mon., March 18. Just go to the External Transfers option within Personal and Small Business Online Banking. Transfers from one Beacon Account to Another Beacon Account Will Continue If you have a transfer from one account to another set up AND are an active online banking customer, you will see that transfer in online banking-scheduled transfers. You can now make changes and updates to it yourself through online banking. If you are a customer with a transfer and you are NOT an active online banking customer, you will need to contact your local branch to make changes or updates to the transfer. 13

WATCH FOR CHANGE Personal and Small Business Internet Banking (cont.) Bill Pay Through Personal and Business Internet Banking Bill Pay with Beacon will end on Thurs., March 14 at 1:00 pm EST to ensure delivery of all payments to your payees over the next week and during conversion weekend. Your payee and nicknames will transition to the new system. If you use Bill Payment Memos with Beacon, please re-establish after Mon., March 18. If you have multiple accounts, you will need to verify that your primary funding account has transitioned properly before making your first payment after Mon., March 18. If you have recurring payments, you will need to log on to verify. If any do not appear, you may need to re-establish the recurring payments under payment manager. On Mon., March 18, begin using Berkshire Bank s Bill Payment available at berkshirebank.com. Select Personal Banking and Small Business Login to access your new Bill Payment services. What You Need to Know About Bill Pay Prior to Conversion Weekend All payments scheduled prior to and on Fri., March 15 for processing will occur. Your recurring payments will convert. You may print or download your activity before Fri., March 15 for your records. Please log in after Mon., March 18 to review and confirm. CHANGE Transfers to individuals online with Beacon will not convert. If you wish to transfer money to a family member you may utilize our Bill Pay service. 14

Personal and Small Business Internet Banking (cont.) What You Need to Know About Bill Pay After Conversion Weekend Berkshire Bank is a Due Date Driven bill payment provider. This means the date you select for your payment will be the earliest date that we guarantee your payment will arrive to your payee. Berkshire Bank will withdraw the funds from the account on the date that the payment should be sent electronically via the Automatic Clearing House (ACH). If a check is created to make the payment on your behalf, the funds will be withdrawn from your account on the date the cashed check from the payee reaches Berkshire Bank. CHANGE However, it is important that you verify all scheduled and recurring payments. Payment retries that were previously available with Beacon will not be available with Berkshire Bank. As a Due Date Driven bill payment provider, we do not verify funds before sending a payment. Please be sure to have sufficient funds in your account for payments to clear. All of the payees you have previously set up in Bill Pay will convert to the new system. Additionally, any scheduled payments you have previously set up in Bill Pay will carry over. If you have payments scheduled to be paid Mon., March 18 or after, there will be no interruption in that service. Bill Payments will be processed as scheduled. Bill Pay limits will be: $50,000 per transaction, $100,000 per day. The date that is generated when you select your payee will be the earliest date on which we guarantee that your payee will receive payment. If the first available payment date is the next day, you may assume that your payment will be sent electronically as an ACH. If the next available date is four business days, this means that the payment most likely will be traveling by paper check. Therefore, it is best practice to always schedule your payments at least four business days in advance of the due date. Quicken If you are a current Quicken user, you should download your current Beacon data before 5:30 pm EST on Thurs., March 7. On or after Mon., March 18, you will need to activate Berkshire Bank as your new financial institution. Detailed information about using Quicken is available at berkshirebank.com/quicken. 15
