The Cranfield full-time MBA is an intensive one-year programme beginning in September. Experts in leadership development We believe good leadership is about knowing yourself, collaborating with others, understanding the dynamics of organisations, negotiating across organisations, and being sensitive to different contexts. Therefore, we don t offer you a single leadership development solution. We have many different approaches depending on what you need. You will work with mentors, coaches and careers advisors to: Discover your leadership and team-working style Work out where you want to go professionally Enhance your personal effectiveness Learn how to get the most out of a team Be sensitive to situations, cultures and contexts Lead change and face future challenges Your individual learning development journey will not be about becoming an ideal leader. It will be about how you carry out your future roles, and about where you see yourself going professionally. TEAMWORK You will carry out much of your work in small, multi-cultural learning teams, each of which has a coach to mentor and advise them. You will receive feedback from your colleagues, assess each other s team work, and sometimes submit or present assignments as a team. Cranfield s distinctive feedback system helps you to review and evaluate your performance within your team. Using specialised tools developed by Cranfield faculty, you will learn about your interpersonal and team working skills and how to improve them.

She has won a range of awards both for herself and her company including a Marketing World Top Women in Marketing award, a Best Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign award from the West Africa Branding Society, and an International Superbrand Award.

MAYFIELD S BRILLIANT ACHIEVEMENT CRANFIELD BUSINESS LEADERS SIR CHARLIE MAYFIELD, BRITISH, MBA 1992, CHAIRMAN, JOHN LEWIS PARTNERSHIP In 2007, Charlie Mayfield became the fifth chairman of the John Lewis Partnership at the age of 40, having worked his way up through the company. As chairman, he has continued to promote the founder s vision of a democratic, profit-sharing partnership. All 69,000 permanent staff of the organisation are partners, sharing in the benefits and profits of the business. In June 2011, Charlie became President of the Employee Ownership Association which represents companies owned by their employees.

MY BIG AMBITION CRANFIELD BUSINESS LEADERS SARAH WILLINGHAM, BRITISH, MBA 2003, ENTREPRENEUR Sarah Willingham studied for an MBA in order to support her entrepreneurial ambitions. She successfully raised the finance to buy The Bombay Bicycle Club in 2004, and turned a heavily loss-making business of six restaurants into a profitable group of seventeen, establishing the largest chain of Indian restaurants in the UK. The business was sold in 2007. She also set up a successful Nutraceuticals business, which she sold in 2011. Sarah has appeared on three series of the BBC TV series The Restaurant with chef Raymond Blanc and on The Apprentice as one of Lord Sugar s advisors.
