Managing Innovation Supported by DFJ Esprit Our Managing Innovation module gives you the opportunity to work alongside innovation partners on live commercial projects and plan a strategy for taking a new product or service to market. The Managing Innovation module is supported by DFJ Esprit (part of the largest venture capital network in the world), who will share with students their expertise in investing in business ideas. As part of the module, students present their commercialisation strategies to an investment style panel of current CEO s, Founders of Innovation companies, Business Angels, Intellectual property experts and other Venture Capital firms. Our aim is to inspire students to realise their own business ambitions.

4 The Loughborough MBA The Loughborough MBA can be studied full-time over 1 year or extended to 2 years with a 6-12 month internship. 5 Benefits of an Internship Extended MBA with Internship By extending your MBA to 2 years so that it includes a 6-12 professional internship in your second year, you have the opportunity to: Gain valuable UK work experience and maximise your post-mba earning potential Apply what you have learnt to a live commercial environment Build your UK work experience in a management or consultancy role (non-uk internships may be permitted) Extend the time you have to search for post-mba employment Your internship may even result in a direct route to employment with your internship company. How the internship works We have close links with over 400 major companies around the world, from Morgan Stanley to Microsoft. Whilst securing your internship will be your responsibility you will be given exceptional support from our specialist Work-Based Learning Director, who will provide workshops and skills sessions throughout the year to help you fine tune your CV and interview technique. You will be supported whilst you are on internship through company visits from your supervisor. The internship will last 6-12 months. Internships usually start at the end of the first year of study. There is some flexibility for the internship start date and the salary is negotiable with your internship organisation.
