Scope Engineering materials and surface engineering with the emphasis on the novel materials with the unusual properties is the main scope of the symposium. The purpose of the symposium is to bring together scientists working in the field of functional materials, nano- and ultrafine grained materials and coats produced by different methods. The symposium will give an opportunity for scientists and engineers to discuss the results of recent research and technological developments in these important areas. Hot topics to be covered by the symposium Symposium presentations should concern characterization, production or characterization of novel materials. For example nanomaterials produced by SPD methods, magnetic materials with special properties, composites, intermetallics and others. Knowledge about different kind of coats, produced by thermal sprays technologies, PVD and CVD methods will be expected. Especially will be interested technologies producing coats with nanometric features. Some attention should be paid on the different ways of nanomaterials and ultra grain materials production and also different forms of nanomaterials. Main topics of the symposium are: Advanced technologies of novel materials production Approaches aspects of materials characterization and basic knowledge Composites, porous materials, materials with the special features for functional applications Advances technologies in coats and layers formation Role of nanoengineering in formation of features of materials
