What is Mobile Deposit? Mobile Deposit makes depositing checks easy. There is no need to step into a Banking Center or use an ATM, you can make deposits quickly and securely right from the Leader Bank s Mobile Banking App. What do I need for Mobile Deposit? In order to take advantage of Mobile Deposit, you need to have: 1. Enrolled in Leader Bank s Mobile Banking 2. Leader Bank s Mobile Banking App 3. An endorsed check 4. A camera enabled Smartphone How do I deposit a check using Mobile Deposit? 1. Login to your Leader Bank s Account through the mobile App. 2. Under the Deposit Tab, select New Deposit as shown below:
To start Mobile Deposit, select the Deposits tab on the Mobile app To make a new deposit, select New Deposit 3. Select the Account you want deposit the check under. Carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check. 4. Review the details and confirm if you want to deposit the check. Click Yes to start capturing the check images.
5. Take pictures of the front and back of the endorsed check. 6. If the images are captured successfully, and if all the entered check details match the actual check, you should get the following message: Funds are normally received within two business days. Please keep the paper check until the funds are posted to your account. Return later to view your deposit status. Please keep the paper check safely with you until the deposit is complete.
What if I put in the wrong amount? If an amount different than that of the check is put in, then after capturing the check images, you should see the below message. Please review the amount and start the mobile deposit again by clicking New Deposit. What if I try to deposit an unendorsed check? For mobile deposit to work successfully, you need to have the paper check endorsed on the back side. If not, then you will get the following error upon deposit. Click Retake Images to start over again.
What are the check limits? While there is no limit on the number of checks you can deposit daily, there is a $10,000 limit on every check. You cannot deposit a check greater than $10,000 using Mobile Deposit. How long should I keep the paper check? Please keep the paper check until the funds are posted to your account. Will the check images show on my monthly statements? Yes, the check images will show on your monthly account statements. Are images stored on my phone? Images are never stored on your devices, only securely at the bank. What precautions do I need to take? Before logging into the Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone. Additional information Please use the following tips to ensure a successful mobile deposit: 1. Sign/Endorse the back of your check, and label it For Deposit Only. 2. Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos. 3. Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos. 4. Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area. 5. Place the check on solid dark background before taking the photo of it. 6. Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photos. 7. Make sure entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit. No shadows across the check All four corners are visible Check is not blurry The MICR line (numbers on the bottom of your check) is readable.
