1 My Pay and Info: Direct Deposit 1. Open an internet browser and type in the following address to access the portal: 2. Click Login to the portal, and log in using your NetID and password. 3. Click My Pay and Info on the upper right side of the screen. 4. Click on the Direct Deposit tab. Adding a direct deposit account? Begin at Step 5. Deleting or Making changes to a direct deposit account? Begin at Step To set up direct deposit for the first time, or to add another account into which part or all of your paycheck will be direct deposited, click Add Deposit Payment. 6. Enter all of the requested information in the boxes provided. Amount Type: choose to have a flat Monetary amount or a Percentage of the total paycheck to be deposited each paycheck. Amount: indicate the flat monetary amount or the percentage of each paycheck that will be deposited. Account Name: your full name. Account Number and Transit Code: can be found on the bottom of the check. See the sample check pictured here. Bank Branch: the town in which your bank branch is located. 7. After all the fields are completed, click Apply. 8. Review the accounts into which your paycheck will be directly deposited, then click Continue. 9. Review your Proposed changes, then click Submit. 10. A confirmation message appears. Click Logout on the upper right side of the screen. 11. Editing your elections: From this screen, you can update the following: Priority: Priority 1 is the first amount that will come out of your paycheck and be deposited into the first account. The balance of your pay will be distributed among the lower priorities. Your Remaining Pay account will always be your lowest priority. Priority Examples Tip: Rather than deleting an election, change the percentage or dollar amount to zero; then you will not need to re enter your bank information if you decide to reactivate that election in the future. Priorities Amount Type: choose to have a flat Monetary amount or a Percentage of each paycheck to be deposited. Amount: indicate the flat monetary amount or the percentage of the paycheck that will be deposited. Delete: click the trash can icon to delete an account. Weekly payroll: can only delete accounts on Sunday or Monday Monthly payroll: can only delete accounts from the 1 st to the 15 th of the month Update: click the pencil icon to make any other changes. 12 If you make changes to Priority, Amount Type, or Amount, or click the Delete icon, click Continue, and go back to Step 9. If you click the Update icon, go back to Step 6. Assigned priorities don t matter if you have amounts/percentages that don t exceed your net pay: Priority 1: 100 dollars (monetary amount) Priority 2: 10 percent (percentage of total net pay) Priority 3: remaining pay In this example, $100 of your paycheck will be deposited into the first account. Then 10% of your total net pay ($100) will be deposited into the second account. The remaining pay ($800) will be deposited into the third account. Even if you reassigned the priorities, the pay would still be deposited the same way because remaining pay always defaults to the lowest priority. Examples where priorities DO matter: Priority 1: 800 dollars (monetary amount) Priority 2: 20 percent (percentage of total net pay) Priority 3: Remaining Pay In this example, $800 will be deposited into the first account and 20% of your total net pay ($200) will be deposited into the second account. Nothing remains to be deposited into the third account. Priority 1: 900 dollars (monetary amount) Priority 2: 20 percent (percentage of total net pay) Priority 3: Remaining Pay In this example, $900 will be deposited into the first account and 20% of your total net pay ($200) would be deposited into the second account. Since your net pay is only $1,000, the $900 deposit leaves only $100 to be deposited into the second account, and no pay for the third account.
