Accommodation A rane of housin options is available to students. Oncampus hostel Separated into male and female blocks, rooms are available for sinle occupancy or twinsharin. Furnishin includes bed, study table, chair and wardrobe while amenities include common readin/ visitor areas, kitchen, laundry and dryin areas. Security is provided around the clock and each block has a residential advisor selected from amon the senior students. Offcampus accommodation Our offcampus accommodation options are located within a reasonable distance from the campus. These apartment units are furnished with a sinle bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe. A complimentary shuttle service to and from the campus may be available. Other accommodation Students who wish to rent an apartment or house on their own or share with other students are advised to contact the University. Students who seek offcampus housin are advised to lode temporarily at budet hotels while lookin for suitable accommodation. Home to over 700,000 people, Kuchin s reenery and clean environment is what initially captivates most visitors. The 16.5 acre city campus is located opposite one of the larest shoppin malls in the city while entertainment areas, restaurants and commercial centres are just a short taxi ride away. Swinburne Sarawak is just 10 minutes by car from the Kuchin city centre. A number of national parks are also within easy reach of the city, makin day trips possible. Kuchin hosts several international festivals annually, the most notable bein the Rainforest World Music Festival.
