Course Description The changing workplace has led to the development of a significantly different role for Managers and their teams. There is a move away from the traditional skills of the supervisor controlling, directing and maintaining discipline, to the team leader being responsible for coaching, facilitating and developing team cooperation within a strategic framework. The Diploma of Management program provides the core leadership competencies required by contemporary managers. It is particularly appropriate for those with operational or technical backgrounds who now find they are managing others. It can also be an excellent induction module for newly promoted staff, as well as a valuable resource for the more experienced manager. Qualifications: Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include: BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or other relevant qualification OR with vocational experience but without formal supervision or management qualification (All documents that are presented on application for enrolment at the Institute must be translated into English and be certified true copies of the original.)
