CONSORT MUSIC FOUNDATION PRO VERO ARTE 2 Dombay utca Vác H-2600 +3630 480 23 85 consort@consort.hu www.consort.hu Presentation of the Consort Music Foundation The Vác-based Consort Music Foundation was formed in 2003 with the purpose of supporting Hungarian classical music life, with special regards to early music. At the same time we would like to participate actively in the music of the present, which is also proved by our improvisative jazz series. Our work mostly includes organising concerts and releasing CDs. In the four years of our operation we created the early music festival 'Börzsöny Baroque Days' and the series 'Baroque Concerts in the Danube Bend'. Every year, on 21 March, the birthday of J. S. Bach we organise a festive concert and in November ARBOS Improvisative Jazz Evenings take place. We often co-operate with other foundations in organising concerts. Our most important consideration is to require a high level of professionalism and quality regarding both the artistic performance and the choice of programme and concert organisation as well as recordings. We gladly support concerts of special concept or held at special venues, realising a synthesis of genuine content and form. We have already established fruitful connections with culture centres, museums, churches and schools. Consort Music Foundation is a non-profit organisation, its activity can only be ensured with financial support. We believe that arts, especially music represent a value that can never be dispensable or diluted. We are working to take real artistic values closer to people.
