The course covers web page development including HTML forms, frames and Course Catalog cascading style sheets, Javascript, and VBScript. Simplifying web site Description: maintenance will be a focus. If you do not have a computer that meets these requirements, LSSC computer labs in our campus Libraries and Learning Centers provide all of the necessary programs needed to complete the work for this course. Technology and Online Computer Access Requirements: Course Objectives: (what the course will do) It is the student s responsibility to have an alternative plan if their main computer system fails or encounters technical issues that prevent the completion of required assignments by the specified due date (i.e. complete work on-site at a campus library or learning center, have a secondary computer available, etc.). Computer hardware, software and/or printer problems are not acceptable excuses for incomplete or late assignments. This course requires a computer system, which meets the minimum specifications for BLACKBOARD access. This course is designed to enable the student to develop familiarity with and confidence in the use of HTML 5 web coding, and to enable the student to use proper tag HTML 5 coding to solve problems. Good problem solving, Web Authoring design, and presentation techniques will be discussed and modeled. 1

Uses a versatile and visual editor to create forms and tables. Creates web interfaces with client-side technologies and popular web authoring tools. Constructs web pages with emerging and existing technologies, such as XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. Learns advanced techniques for producing static and dynamic web pages. Publishes their work to a simulated or live web server using the latest Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) technologies. Recognizes topics to include advanced web page design, site administration, templates, scripting, application building and CSS layering. The successful functioning of the academic community demands honesty, which is the basis of respect for both ideas and persons.
