Calendar Committee SUSD Governing Board Meeting November 9, 2010

Background The District Calendar Committee last met and did work in 2006. The Governing Board presented input on September 5, 2006. The committee met and brought back recommendations on January 23, 2007. Based on the recommendations, the Governing Board approved school calendars for years 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11 on February 13, 2007. The Board also approved a template for years 2011/12 through 2016/17 with a specific notation that the template will be adjusted. Because of this, the current Calendar Committee was organized and is meeting. The 2006 committee met from September, 2006 to January, 2007 (five months). The current 2010 committee is looking at trends and changes that have occurred since 2006. The input has been obtained from all stakeholders.
