WELCOME Dear Friends, It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the workshop on Advanced Therapies in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology. This is the sixth of a series of workshop started in 2007 on Congenital Endocrinopathies and continued every two years in Italy in different cities (Genoa, Rome, Cagliari, Turin). The sixth workshop will be held in Rome and the intent is to provide an updating on new therapies focus on endocrine disorders. As you can see from the program, the workshop will cover several topics, and there will be thematic sessions as well as plenary lectures. We will have the privilege of hosting outstandig experts who have accepted our invitation to jointly discuss issue including advanced therapy for DM1, new approaches for obesity and metabolic syndrome, new therapies for adrenal and gonads disorders, advances in growth promoter drugs, new approaches for delayed puberty, osteoporosis and gene therapy and oxidative stress blocker for neurological disease. We hope that the quality of the scientific program, the venue and the environment will make this workshop a successful event.
