A. INTRODUCTION Though XLRI is primarily an academic management institute, its research, advisory and consultancy services are in the industry. Based on the body of knowledge and industry contributions, the institute has been developing and offering corporate programmes over the years with specific objective of developing management strategies, systems and practices in India and abroad. In the institute, through an internal realignment, we are making an effort to understand the corporate requirements and make available institute offerings and services in a single window platform. We hope such an initiative will help organizations to avail the institute offerings from the menu of services. The major sections of Corporate programmes include: Management Development programmes (MDPs) In-company programmes (ICPs). Certificate programmes (CPs). Consultancy Services(CSs) Executive Coaching (ECs) Research and Innovation (R&I) B. CORPORATE PROGRAMMES 1. Management Development Programmes (MDP): XLRI has been conducting management development programmes (MDP) over many years. It has attracted participants from all over the country and from abroad. We have initiated a number of activities to reach out to all potential users of our services and to remain in constant touch with them. The 'Corporate programme Alumni Network' is one such initiative wherein executives who participate in an MDP or In-company programme of XLRI will be a Corporate programme Alumnus. The institute will be reaching out to our corporate programme alumni with a number of services. Most of the MDPs incorporated into this year's calendar are already industry tested or they are new offerings to meet the emerging challenges with changes in the economic scenario. We hope you will find them useful and we will be very happy to receive your valuable feedback in this regard. XLRI is keen to handhold with your organization to create value in the employees who in turn will make business happen for your organization in the coming year and the years to follow. The list of MDPs along with its details can be availed at: http://www.xlri.ac.in/academic-prog/executiveeducation/overview.aspx email: mdp@xlri.ac.in or mdpoffice@xlri.ac.in Phone : +91-657-6653330 /3329 2. In-company Programmes: XLRI has done commendable work in the past in co-creating programmes for the corporate organizations and delivering them at XLRI, in the organizational premise or in a neutral venue like a Hotel. A list of in-company programmes along with its details are available at http://www.xlri.ac.in/academic-prog/executive-education/in-company-prog.aspx The list of programmes and contents are indicative-demonstrating our expertise and areas of strengths- these need to be tailor made to meet the requirements of your organization. We hope to work with you on these or any other programme that you may require to meet the business requirements during the coming years. 3. Certificate Programmes: Certificate programmes are institute programmes and the concerned functional Area fully gets involved in developing, designing and implementing the programme with active participation of all the other functional Areas. Qualified students

are provided with the certificate in a graduation ceremony organized by the institute. The six months to one year programme aim to develop professionals with work experience but due to some reason could not obtain a professional qualification. We already have a few certificate programmes such as Entrepreneurship programme, Agri-business programmes, Executive Diploma in Human Resource Management, and Executive Diploma in Business Management for Defense Personnel. We hope to work with your organization if you are keen to professionally qualify your executives during the coming year. Kindly note that these programmes too can be tailor-made to large extend to meet your business requirements. We are looking forward to your inputs, leads and suggestions to give impetus to the certificate programmes. For certificate programmes you may like to have a look at http://www.xlri.ac.in/academic-prog/executiveeducation/diploma-hrm.aspx E-Mail : edhrm@xlri.ac.in Phone : +91-657-6653245 4. Consultancy Services: When an organization approaches the institute with a problem to be solved, a system or practice to be implemented, a challenge needs to be identified/met, strategies needs to drawn; consultancy services become relevant. The institute may appoint a faculty or a group of faculty to look into the area that needs attention with the purpose of enhancing organizational performance. We have been doing consultancy work with a large number of organizations and we would like to actively handhold and work together in this area for institute-industry-interface benefitting both your organization and XLRI. We would like to remain in touch with your organization for any consultancy services you may need during the coming year. 5. Executive Coaching: Executive Coaching has become popular over the past few years and today it is not only seen as an industry by itself but also a powerful tool to ensure high performance in executives especially senior level executives. As you are aware, XLRI has behaviorally trained experts who can handhold and work with high performing executives on a long term basis. At a time it is possible for a faculty (Coach) to work with two or three senior and high performing executives and coach them on a regular interval with at least one meeting in a month. We would be happy to hear from you and meet your requirements during the coming year. 6. Research and Innovation CONCLUSION Over the last three years XLRI has witnessed a welcome change with the corporates looking for research outputs, innovation ideas and practices from XLRI. We already have behavioral lab and are working with corporate houses to establish their own innovation cell in XLRI. Through such innovation cell it is possible that XLRI faculty, doctoral scholars and others in the institute can work on a research project to convert them into a new businesses outcome or an innovative systems, process or practice. The Innovation Cell may also offer innovative functional one day workshop or talk which the innovation cell can facilitate. All the six corporate programmes offerings of XLRI mentioned above form a part of our integrated approach to handhold and work with organizations in creating value and business results. Each of the offering indicates XLRI own commitment to corporate around the world to build capacity at individual, team and organizational level. We look forward to receiving nominations from your esteemed organization for the MDPs enclosed in this brochure. We shall eagerly expect your request and invitation for all the other offerings and services to partner with your organization in achieving business excellence for the coming years.
