HELLO. If you want to study for a degree but don t hold the necessary qualifications, then an Access to Higher Education Diploma could be for you. Our extensive range of Access Diplomas will give you a stepping stone to success and provide an intensive, fast track route into a degree. Access to Higher Education IT COULD COST YOU NOTHING. It could cost you nothing to study with a range of financial support available, dependent on your age and circumstances. Under 24 years old: you can study for free if you don t already have a level 3 qualification or you are on eligible benefits. 24 years old and above: 24+ loans available which you don t pay back if you go on to complete a higher education course. With a 24+ loan There s nothing to pay upfront. They do not take household income into account so you can get a loan no matter what you earn. When you complete an Access to Higher Education course and go onto University and complete a degree the loan is automatically written off and you pay nothing back. If you don t move onto a Degree you don t pay back the 24+ loan until you are earning over 21,000 a year and repayments can be as low as 7.50 per month. WE HAVE COURSES IN A RANGE OF AREAS. Our courses Business & Computing Baltic Gain knowledge and experience in three areas: business studies, computer programming and web development. Typical undergraduate destinations for our students include international business management, business management, marketing and computer science. Games Design Ideally, five GCSE grades (A*-C) including English and maths. An interview and some experience of art, design or computing. Baltic Gain software skills in applications such as 3DS Max, Zbrush, the Adobe Masters collection, Unreal Development Kit and Unity. Typical undergraduate 3D modelling, games engines, digital animation and game development. Health Baltic Gain knowledge and experience in three areas: human physiology, professional healthcare practice and introduction to psychology. Typical undergraduate midwifery, nursing, food and nutrition, operating department practice, public health, physiological sciences, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Humanities Baltic Gain knowledge and experience in three areas: English language and literature, history and culture in Victorian England and sociology. Typical undergraduate english literature/language, history, law, media/film studies and journalism. Music In partnership with English and maths. An audition and interview will be Baltic Ideal for anyone planning to study popular music at degree level, whether as an instrumentalist, vocalist, composer or producer/technologist. Whatever your specialist interest, you ll learn about music theory and composition and how to conduct accurate and meaningful research, produce coherent reports and make effective presentations. Performing Arts English and maths. An audition and interview will be Baltic Gain experience of individual and ensemble performance skills, develop your knowledge of the language of performance and experience a range of disciplines across the performing arts, with specialisation possible. Science English and maths and a science subject. An interview will be Baltic Gain knowledge and experience in four areas: biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. Typical undergraduate medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, sciences (biomedical, pure and environmental), radiology, mathematics and physiotherapy. Social Sciences Baltic Gain knowledge and experience in three areas: psychology, sociology and criminology. Typical undergraduate social work, law, psychology, sociology and criminology. Academy for Sport If you are interested in progressing onto a sport degree or foundation degree, such as sports studies, sports development, sport and exercise science, coaching or PE teaching, this course is for you. You will study a range of units including coaching and leadership, sports science, sports injuries, nutrition and sports psychology Educational Studies You are required to have five GCSE grades (A*-C) including maths, English and a science subject. Demonstrate some previous experience and an interest in a teaching profession. Baltic If you'd like to move into primary, secondary or post-compulsory teaching and study for a degree but don't have the qualifications you need, then this could be for you.
