Finance Vertical Shop Managment (VMS) SCM Retail Dispatch/ Customs Planning PDM CRM B2B Mobile Order Management Sourcing/ Supplier Integration EDI Archive Stock Logistic (LVR/LVS) Production Plannung & Scheduling BI DWH We speak your language INTEX International. INTEX underlines its international presence by supplying all programs as multi-national versions. Of course, in addition to German, all new modules are immediately available in English, Turkish, and Chinese or may be translated upon request into any other language. All enterprise figures are available at the tip of your fingers. All product, customer, and supplier information is readily and directly available, starting with product development details, continuing with procurement and sales data, and finally resulting in dispatch and invoicing documents. Just concentrate without second thoughts on essentials and leave routine work to your ERP system. 3 Keep a tight grip on transparent goods transactions..
2. Master Data Your Application Fundamentals Basic Table Basic tables are used to define values for a variety of business areas. Company cost centers are a typical example. However, basic tables are also used to define enterprise hierarchies and respective dependencies. INTEX Customers may setup up basic tables according to their individual necessities and business structure themselves. This Basement is the seed of quality. Basic tables represent the core of the information system, i.e. company specific values are entered. Avoiding redundancy all application programs are centrally supplied with this data. In addition to main data management the "Basic Table Module" provides comprehensive control to set multiple processing parameters (customize without programming) of the system. This will allow you to configure the standard software for your individual requirements and process solution. Product Data Management PDM supports management of all data created during new product development and existing product updates, including data edit and data transfer to subsequent entities. This will further allow you to effectively control product data proliferation making out of date information a reliquary of the past. Today, a successful INTEX customer may supply the market with monthly collections on short notice. Reduced product life cycles minimize the risk of being out of date, since customers are continuously searching for low prices at optimum quality. The pressure on the profit margin is extremely high and growing. In addition there are NOS (Never out of Stock)- Programs. Articles which customers expect to be available at all times follow entirely different laws. Production relevant data has to be entered into the system during product development so that this information may be used by product management in the form of building blocks or macros. INTEX supports this process in an optimum way: Sales Products based on individual styles are entered into a collection and combined with main fabric. An unlimited number of style combinations in as many sizes, colors, sales lots as necessary may be created and managed. Assignment of product specification is entirely flexible and without any restrictions. This also includes allocation of EAN numbers on the SKU level. Size data is kept for each sales product in as many sizes and size names (alphanumeric) as necessary. The lowest level, size pool, stores all size specifications per size range, including country specific size naming conventions. 4
More Product Data Management Functionality: - Define an unlimited number of size ranges combining individual sizes and assign them to styles and sales products - Use percentage mark-ups for individual sizes - Create two dimensional sizes ranges, e.g. for jeans and bras - Define additional "Free Attributes" for statistical evaluations - Easy and fast introduction of new styles, products, and collections by copying pre-defined article data Manual data entry is reduced significantly since product, classification, and planning data is inherited from existing data automatically. Creation of random packing units with multiple SKU numbers allows ready for sales shipments. Images and further description elements, stored in external file systems, may be attached to the sales product, retrieved, and displayed directly in the system.. 3. Sales Providing Point of Sales (POS) with Necessary Goods at the Right Time Effortlessly you enter all relevant data required for a particular customer in a central master table. In addition to address information INTEX allows you to store a large number of attributes and control data for each customer. These standard or default conditions will then be loaded during order entry and may be modified if terms are changed for a particular order.. All Conditions at a Glance In addition to the usual data credit limit, warnings for account managers, comments, and notes may be maintained. Individual delivery addresses, special rebates, and price groups are allowed as well. INTEX provides a large variety of customer order types to represent typical process flow for common pre-orders, rush orders, and orders with delayed availability, just to name a few. All customer information is readily available. Of course, all known message types of EDI data exchange are supported. Extensive CRM functions are available to comply with our motto "Action based on Knowledge". Special WEB based modules for external use support the classical B2B business and may be used by representatives as well. Online availability verification prevents multiple sales of a given unit. 5
IINTEX FMS Management Solution to Control Complex Processes of Vertical Sales In vertical structures INTEX customers are fully responsible for initial goods provision and replenishment of sales areas. We provide our customers with INTEX-VMS (Vertical Shop Management), a powerful tool to manage the entire pre-season planning efficiently and independently of the number of sales areas. To do this any necessary planning structure may be created and stored in the system. Area Management and Sales Control at the Point of Sale (POS) A flexible formula editor creates required ratios to evaluate area productivity. Connected cash registers (or the IT system of the retail partner via EDI) provide relevant information from POS to be processed in INTEX ERP and finally transferred to the accounting and finance system. In-season management uses this data as well to answer all questions about replenishment control, possible redistributions, value depreciation, and short term profit and loss accounts. Efficient replenishment will guarantee goods availability on the sales area by using an automatic goods management system. Continuous information about sold pieces will ensure demand driven deliveries. Of course, INTEX also supports more current business models between industry and retail such as trade inventory, depot management, commissions, concessions (Vendor Managed Inventory), or even buyer management.. This powerful INTEX sales cockpit informs you about individual customer order status at the "Tip of your finger". Following the motto "Act Informed" you may answer all customer inquiries regarding orders, deliveries, invoices, and many more immediately without having to change programs. Thanks to "Dot Net" technology you may use this functionality not only internally but also from remote locations. 6
4. Procurement - Modern Supply-Chain-Management The guarantee for your success Global procurement with long production times and monthly changing collections represent an extreme logistical challenge. How can you take advantage of worldwide affordable production cost and react at the same time in a fast and flexible way to changes in customer demand? INTEX-PPS provides you with a modern SCM-Tool to plan procurement regardless whether you buy your products as finished goods or produce them by commissioned manufacturing. The system manages supplier capacities, shows material availability, and supports you to create optimum production batches. Orders you have placed with your suppliers are tracked by a sophisticated system. The entire procurement process workflow is monitored by the "management by exception" principal starting with order generation all the way to goods entry. The functionality of the implemented event manager will make sure that you only have to worry about those orders where a delay is likely. The entire supply chain will be made transparent. Your delivery ratio will increase due to higher delivery reliability. Disposition of NOS- Articles will be supported by a forecasting system taking into account the exact range of individual sales products in color and size based on historical data. Optimization of disposition, stock keeping, and distribution of raw materials processes. If you control production yourself, either anonymous or customer specific manufacturing, INTEX will support you during the disposition and allocation of raw materials to internal and/or offshore production sites and will manage the workflow of involved supply chains. Stock on hand in your own warehouse as well as production site located inventories will always be considered. When calculating material demand proven forecasting methods are applied to allow you to procure just in time without creating unnecessary surplus in your intermediate warehouses. The vendor data table keeps track of all suppliers regardless if they are raw material vendors, manufacturer, or contractors for specific tasks. 7
Material Master Data Comprehensive Information for all Materials. Material data is an important data source within the ERP application and provides a variety of views for the various modules. All materials starting with main fabric to each last pin are managed in the material table. The intelligent configuration of categories and subcategories ensures that all specifics of a material type are considered in an optimum way. Therefore, the material table is the central data source for all material specific information. n. More important functions: - automatic recommendation for procurement orders - automatic generation of Email dispatch - Management of various procurement types arranged according to demand or consumption driven materials - Management of contract documents - Direct connection of vendors using a web based order tracking tool with integrated dunning - Flexible received goods processes fur suspended or flat-packed goods including quality control procedures - Manage rolls and color batches - Vendor evaluation - Entry of all received invoices and transfer to accounting 8
MDM (Manufacturing Data Management) For our customers running their own production, e.g. work protection wear and international offshore manufacturers, we offer MDM as a module to control all relevant production processes including personnel, equipment, operations, and bill of labor creation. MDM includes product data management, material management, as well as production planning, scheduling, and monitoring. Customer satisfaction is the key to our success. 9
4. Goods Entry to Warehouse Warehouse logistic supports optimum material flow reducing current assets and maintaining ready for delivery status at the same time. Reduced capital tie-up because of little inventory improves liquidity which in turn you may use for further optimization of your processes. Regardless whether raw material or finished goods, suspended or flat-packed received goods are identified by INTEX ERP and distributed according to predefined optimization criteria (various input and output strategies) to free resources(warehouse, row, bin, shelf). This process may be supported by appropriate data collection devices, e.g. hand held barcode scanner or RFID tunnels. RFID technology combined with EPC-Code does not represent a problem for INTEX since management of individual pieces has always been a key feature of INTEX-ERP. It is irrelevant whether goods are delivered on a piece by piece basis or in cartons, whether goods still have to be commissioned or vendors have packed the delivery according to customer commissions already (Cross Docking). For fabric processing warehouse personnel recognize all rolls of a delivery or a material respectively. In addition to stock on hand and color batch information users see whether the actual inventory in a given material color combination has been received from one or several vendors. Goods may be entered either referring to a particular purchase order or anonymous assigning the entry to a purchase order during a later processing phase. Received goods are entered per purchase/ production order. Notifications may be used for cross reference bookings. Using quality classification received goods are booked to a certain stock and may then be approved for production (raw materials) or customer allocation (finished goods). Of course, partial deliveries can be taken care of as well. 10
INTEX - The 5. Goods Allocation to Invoice INTEX allows both automatic and manual allocation of finished goods to customer orders. Needless to mention that users may interact with automatic allocations and change program assignments manually. Allocations are based on received goods from a production order or a merchandize purchase order. Available stock on hand will be allocated by the system to corresponding customer orders (normally only pre-orders) according to various parameters (status, priority, date, partial deliveries, minimum deliveries, etc.) This means that goods may be allocated to those customer orders first which have been available at the time of production order generation and have been identified as demand perpetrator (customer oriented production). Further allocation methods allow free allocation, i.e. not only original customer orders registered before production order creation are considered but also orders which were entered at a later time. some of our customers INTEX assigns free goods in one step. However, users may exclude products from allocation or initiate restrictions on customer order position level respectively. This method will allow you to allocate a certain product, customer, order, or a given priority first. Also negative order positions may be excluded from the allocation. Typical limitation and selection criteria examples are the dispatch channel (used to optimize personnel deployment in the dispatch department) and customer payment patterns (customers paying within 10 days are preferred: better liquidity). Allocation results will be provided in a dialogue screen and may either be confirmed or modified manually in the dialogue program. Manual intervention will cause the system to rebook allocations which have been made according to general assignment criteria partially or entirely back to stock. These quantities will now be available for other customers who have not been considered during the automatic allocation run. If the user confirms the allocation result assigned quantities will be reserved for the selected customer order positions. Subsequent process steps will be dispatch approval and creation of consignment notes (e.g. picking notes or delivery notes). Selected data records may also be transferred to an automatic dispatch system or an external contractor. 11
According to selected operational parameters deliveries are created for each client, however, within one company across multiple products. Modification of locks and restrictions stored in customer and order data are always possible. Delivery note or invoice headers may be modified, if required. If consignment notes indicate missing pieces (either reported manually or automatically from contractors or dispatch systems) delivery notes may be edited accordingly. This will ensure correct quantities for customer invoices and inventory data. some of our customers Freight charges are added to the invoice. They are calculated from reported weight and quantity of packages. Cost tables stored in the system will be used to determine precise freight charges for the delivery. Corresponding data will be stored together with invoice information and may be used for statistical evaluations (e.g. information about delivery channel). Invoices may be edited at any time using a dialogue program (e.g. manual modification of variables taken from the customer order). Export invoices can be transferred to 3rd party customs software to handle all export relevant tasks including export invoice and customs preference. For EU member countries AE and EUR may be created as well. Returns are processed using a special business model. By scanning the product code the appropriate customer invoice will be determined. Terms and conditions are transferred from the original invoice to credit notes or replacement deliveries automatically. To manage the return process efficiently goods are qualified according to return reasons and subsequent workflow tasks. 12
6. Reporting / Controlling DWH For standard reports as well as for ad hoc evaluations "Business Objects" is a proven tool allowing you to create your own individual information and controlling system based on templates provided by INTEX. In addition, INTEX also provides a data warehouse which holds not only relevant data from the ERP system but also useful information from other systems, i.e. cash register or finance. Data may be entered in original or consolidated form. Selected data will be converted first to Data- Marts and finally to Data- Cubes to be used for subsequent evaluation using Business Object or similar BI-Tools. It is irrelevant where the data has originated. 13
