4 The application is multi-language, multi-currency and multi-company. Advanced inter-company transactions are supported by the system. Globis integrates well with most modern accounting software and multiple legislations/countries are also supported. Globis has a built-in reporting module aimed at turnover drill-downs with an almost unlimited set of dimensions, and with precise allocation of gross margin. For larger organizations though, Globis provides business intelligence based on Crystal Reports technology, which can integrate data from multiple systems, databases and establishments. Product Data Management Globis is well known for its easy and flexible structuring of large sets of products. 6 Purchase orders and suppliers need follow-up! Globis lets you manage overdue delivery times and send delivery reminders before real problems start occurring. Also, you can track shipments and container informations, and -through the use of GlobisOnline- lets you even monitor real time delivery status. Globis supports advanced inter-company transactions, where one company buys/imports goods and distributes these goods from central warehouses to local sales and distribution establishments. Sales orders and invoices for the distribution company are automatically converted into purchase orders and -invoices for the local branches. Warehouse Management Have you ever seen the prices of specialized WMS systems? Not to speak of the cost and time for the integration with your existing ERP! Sure, these systems offer great value for large organizations, but if you are a smaller company looking for great stock management functions -including multiple warehouses, optimized picking and barcode processes- then Globis might be the ideal solution for you... Globis WMS can function on regular PC s but there is also a GUI for forklift displays where warehouse employees get their paperless instructions and register put-aways, pickings and moves. Globis supports WIFI based scanners for real time stock mutations, but also simple, screen less scanners are supported. At production sites, the Globis WMS is fully integrated with the barcode-based production and time registration modules, so production output can be traced back to every individual material batch or serial number that was used. 7 With the optional LSP Interface Module, you can even set-up a bidirectional link between the Globis WMS and your external logistics service provider. Picking-lists are sent electronically to your LSP s WMS, and all stock mutations in the external warehouse (pickings, receivings, corrections etc) are registered in the Globis WMS. The WMS module is fully integrated in the Globis ERP-suite but -as a standalone module- it can also be interfaced with other ERP-systems. Production Globis supports discrete manufacturing, as well as certain types of process manufacturing. First of all, Globis has excellent features when it comes to engineering-to-order production. Components and bill-of-materials can be extracted from CAD/PDM software, and linked to a Globis project and/or sales order, even long before the last drawings are completed. On the project level, material and resource budgets are allocated and parts of the BOM can be released to the Globis MRP Engine, which triggers price requests, purchase orders, and even external sub-assembly orders. At every substantial iteration of the design process, the BOM s in Globis can be updated and Globis will check current purchase orders and stock-levels. Through this unique approach of dynamic interaction between the engineering and the ERP environment, Globis offers companies greatly improved lead times and stock control. Production follow-up and budget control are performed from within the system and result in all kinds of external reports (work in progress, project-matrices, profit and loss,...) In the process industry, Globis has excellent features and references. Based upon dynamic production process formulas, Globis suggests a production routing and calculates what raw materials are to be used. It suggests the setup time and run time of the machines, which is the basis for production planning. The production planning is visualized in a planning screen which updates instantly when registration takes place in the production. 8 Production registration can be performed real time through an easy to use touch-screen interface. Raw materials -used during the production process- can be scanned, machine setup/run times are entered with the push of a finger, and output quantities are registered. Even labels with unique codes per box and/or pallet are generated on demand through the touch screens, both for finished products as for rest-materials that return to stock. Full resource traceability -a must in today s modern production environments, is guaranteed by Globis! Service Customer support, complaints and service interventions are managed by Globis Service Management Modules. Track customer calls, create work order requests, schedule interventions through a visual planning interface and register time and material usage, after which interventions can be invoiced by the system.
