A word from Andrew: The HOSA National Competition in Nashville, Tennessee this summer was an amazing opportunity. I was very fortunate to meet many HOSA competitors from different parts of the nation and proudly state that "I am a student at Robert Vela High School in Edinburg, Texas. " In being part of this competition, I had the opportunity to participate in a variety of sessions which included motivational team building and career readiness seminars. Several of these presented many new and technological advances in the field of medicine. This experience could not have been possible without the support of my friends, HOSA members and sponsors. I sincerely thank Mrs. Eva Torres, Ms. Arminda Lozano, Mr. Eric Fong, Ms. Monica Trevino, Mr. Jacob Olmeda and Mr. Jose Garza for their support and efforts in organizing this fantastic opportunity.
