5 MAGDALENA JACKOWSKA - REJMAN Only a few innovations have a chance for market success, but statistically it is the companies which do not implement them that are at the biggest risk. Developing your business, which includes the search for new business models and the identification of new groups of potential clients, is a challenge. In the business nowadays, it is a challenge that is being met head-on by a growing number of companies not only global corporations, but also small and medium-sized enterprises. What is their key to success? It is the understanding of the mechanisms that are at work in the innovations market and the rules governing communication between the entities holding innovative solutions. The ability to enrich the potential of one s organization through innovative solutions incorporated from the outside and the right management of those inside it often referred to as Open Innovation- both play a vital role. The professionalization of this area both in Poland and in Europe allows managers to create a competitive advantage, incorporate new business models and identify new consumer groups. Having in mind the requirements listed above and current trends in the field of innovation, we have prepared this special event: Open Innovation Masterclass. MAGDALENA JACKOWSKA - REJMAN CEO techbrainers, founder of techbrainers R&D Club Our mission is creating a space where innovative solutions, which are a key factor in the growth of today s economy, are collaboratively created, tested and polished. During those two days, attendees accompanied by world-class experts Dr Pierre Orlewski and Prof Vim Vanhavebreke will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the mechanisms and rudiments of Open Innovation and also enrich their professional knowledge and abilities. The rich formula lectures, workshops, case study analysis, best practice presentations and discussions - will create a unique framework for sharing experiences and acquiring new abilities and knowledge. We believe that participating in this event will become a true inspiration to implement Open Innovation in companies and an encouragement to innovate.

MAREK ŁASIŃSKI DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PHILIPS LIGHTING POLAND SA What I like the most about the idea of establishing an R&D club in Poland is that it is a forum for sharing experiences in this area, which is truly important to all of us to the future of our companies and enterprises. Gathering experiences of companies from different industries and of different sizes can be really important for them as a means of developing the futures of their organizations. DR PIERRE ORLEWSKI MANAGER OPEN INNOVATION EMEA GOODYEAR INNOVATION CENTER LUXEMBURG The idea is excellent. I truly support it. The Polish R&D community should have federalize itself a long time ago and create a kind of an association so that the united voice of the community, especially when it comes to the needs of the partnership between Polish academies and institutions, the need of financial stimulation, would finally be heard by different ministries.
