REQUIREMENTS: ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED. Students will be dropped from the course for excessive absences. Three absences or two consecutive absences are considered excessive. If students have valid or University excused absences, they must consult with the instructor to avoid being dropped. Students are expected to be prepared at every class meeting. COURSE OBJECTIVES: The second year program is well-balanced for beginning students of Italian. The program is designed to develop and strengthen oral and written communication, and reading and listening skills within a culturally rich environment that introduces students to today s Italians, their language, their concerns, and their varied lifestyles.
