1 PART - D PROCEDURE FOR FEE PAYMENT CENTRALIZED ONLINE COUNSELING PARTICIPATING BANKS FOR ONLINE COUNSELING HDFC IDBI AXIS SBOP (Details of state and branches would be made available at website) BASIC INSTRUCTIONS Go to Click on Fee Payment for Centralized Online Counseling for Session Click on the link to create a new account. Now read the Terms & Conditions carefully and then tick the check box at the end to agree with all terms and conditions and click Registration for Fee Payment Then fill up the details against each field as per instructions below. INSTRUCTIONS TO FILL UP THE COUNSELING FEE PAYMENT FORM Fill up the details in the form as mentioned here:- Students must follow these instructions, to avoid inconvenience. Select Course: Select course/courses for which you need to pay counseling fee. You can select multiple courses. If you select course B.Tech., then enter your JEE Main Roll Number If you select any other course, roll number is NOT REQUIRED. It will be generated by system automatically. Applicant Name: Enter your name Id: Enter your id Date of Birth: Enter your date of birth by in DD/MM/YYYY format Father's Name: Enter your father's name Address: Enter your address Mobile No.: Enter your mobile number Phone No.: Enter your phone number {This field is not mandatory} State: Select state City: Select city Click on Create Account and Pay Fee. (After clicking on this button, you will be registered in the system and taken to counseling fee payment screen) You will receive a confirmation or SMS confirming your registration and your login- ID and password. 55

2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING COUNSELING FEE PAYMENT On the screen, select the courses for which you want to make fee payment. For each selected course the counseling fee is Rs 2, (Non Refundable) (For example:- If you select two (2) courses to make counseling fee payment then your total counseling fee payment would be Rs. 4, (Four Thousand)) Even if applicant selects two courses, two separate registrations are done in the software automatically and applicant get two printouts of Fee Challan. Select mode of payment: Cash or Credit Card or Debit Card and click on "Make Payment" button To pay by Cash, select Mode of Payment as Cash and then fill up the following fields to deposit fee:- State: Select state. {Only those states will show for which bank branches are available} City: Select city. {Only those cities will show for which bank branches are available} Bank name: Select bank name Bank branch name: Select bank branch name (You can view the available branch lists of selected banks below) You need to print E-Slip form for each selected course and deposit it in the selected branch To generate individual E-Slip form for a course, click on "Click to print E-Slip form" To generate E-Slip form for all courses together, click on button "Print All E-Slip forms" Once the cash E-Slip form is generated, you will not be able to generate E-Slip form(s) for another bank or branch. You need to deposit the E-Slip form(s) at the selected bank branch. Please do ask the bank clerk to enter four required fields in their system (Roll Number, Name, Amount, E-Slip Number) Please take proper stamped confirmation receipt from the bank Please ask bank officer for Transaction/Scroll ID which you will use to activate your payment. You will get verification once your payment has been received by Punjab Technical University after reconciliation with bank. After the Cash has been deposited, it will take minimum 4 Business days for activation of account If "Mode of payment" is selected as "Credit/ Debit card" then fill up the following fields to deposit fee. Card holder's name: Enter card holder's name Card holder's address: Enter card holder's address Card holder's id: Enter card holder's id Card holder's phone no.: Enter card holder's phone no. After submitting it will take you to BANK payment gateway and here you need to fill up credit/ debit card's details and then make the payment. If the payment will be successful then it will give you the option to print receipt else you need to make the payment again. 56

3 NOTE :- Only Credit Cards with "Visa" or "Master Card" logo are accepted. This is a 3D secured verification payment gateway which requires use of a password for credit cards. Please contact your bank to make sure your credit card is activated for online payments Only Debit Cards with "Visa" or "Master Card" logo are accepted. This is a 3D secured verification payment gateway which requires use of your debit card pin number and activation by your bank. Please contact your bank to make sure your debit card is activated for online payments. In case of a Successful transaction, you shall be automatically taken to your login account at where the receipt can be printed from the screen In case of unsuccessful transaction, you have to try again. After completing this process you will just complete the PTU counseling fee process Please visit PTU website( for further instructions COMMON QUERIES Contact , (Timings: 9 AM to 6 PM) or [email protected] if you face any of the following issues: Registration: Not able to register and create account. Not able to login into your account. Payment using CASH: Not able to print Cash Voucher/Receipt which has to be printed and submitted to the Bank along with Cash of Rs / Not able to print cash deposit confirmation receipt from your account after 5 Business Days of submission to the Bank. After the Cash has been deposited, it will take minimum 5 Business days for activation of account. Payment using Credit Card/Debit Card: Not able to use Credit Card/ Debit Card Not able to print payment confirmation receipt after successful transaction using the card. 4 TERMS AND CONDITIONS I accept terms and conditions that I am responsible for the eligibility criteria (see ptu.ac.in) In case I do not fulfill eligibility criteria I understand and accept that fees will not be refundable in any circumstances. In case i do not get admission after the completion of counseling process by PTU, I understand and accept that fees will not be refundable in any circumstances. 5 COUNSELLING PROCEDURE for B. TECH & B.TECH. ALONGWITH FEE WAIVER PTU will hold joint online counselling for admission to 1 st year of B.Tech. & B.Tech. alongwith Fee Waiver in the colleges affiliated to PTU Jalandhar, Punjabi University, Patiala and PAU Ludhiana based on JEE (Main) 2014 results, as applicable, during Admission Session through two rounds of counselling. The detailed procedure for participating in Centralized Online Counselling is as under:- 1. COUNSELLING FEE: To participate in the centralized Online Counselling of 1 st year of B.Tech. & B.Tech. alongwith Fee Waiver, every candidate belonging to 85% quota and 15% quota, irrespective of his/her category, shall have to deposit a Counselling fee of Rs. 2000/- (Non-Refundable) by following ways:- Log into Fill the respective information. Select from any designated Banks as listed in the website where the candidate intends to deposit his/her Counselling fees through cash. Take a printout of the E-Deposit Slip Deposit cash in the respective Bank. Note : (a) No manual cash deposit slip shall be entertained in any of the following banks. Only those candidates will be able to participate, who have deposited the Counselling fees on time. (b) Please check procedure for counselling fee payment available at under Admissions link for guidelines in detail. 2. GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM a) Student shall log on to (Please ensure before registering on the website, that you have deposited Counselling fee i.e Rs. 2000/- (Non- Refundable) in designated bank or through Debit/Credit card as given in the website failing which you will not be able to register yourself for Counselling.) b) From the STUDENT SECTION select the appropriate course ( B.Tech. & B.Tech. alongwith Fee Waiver) from the drop down menu and click GO. c) A new student must click on PROCEED button for New registration. d) For registering in B.Tech. & B.Tech. alongwith Fee Waiver course, Enter your JEE Main Roll No. followed by JEE Main Rank (All India Rank), then enter your Name (as given in JEE Main Examination), then enter your correct date of Birth (as given in JEE Main Examination), then enter the green number as shown in Parallel. e) Select your state of eligibility carefully as you will only be allowed to participate either in Punjab (85% Quota) or other state (15% Quota). f) Student should fill his/her gender. g) Select your Main category, Sub category and Priority in case of Sports and Defence category from the Drop box. In case you want to apply for Sports category at Punjabi university, Patiala and PAU, Ludhiana you must appear for physical test at the concerned Universities, students should see the details from Brochure as well as from the concerned University s website. More details are available in the respective Information Brochure which is available on website (No Reservation policy applicable in case of fee waiver scheme). Punjabi University, Patiala will prepare a separate merit list of the sportspersons, who pass their physical test and allocate seats irrespective of Grade A, B, C & D. h) If annual family income of the parents of candidate is less than 4.50 lacs from all sources then he/she shall be eligible for Tuition Fee Waiver scheme. He/She has to produce the certificate of same at the time of admission. 59

6 (Note: The scheme shall be limited to tuition fee as prescribed by the State Government. All other fee except tuition fees will have to be paid by the beneficiary.) i) Please note that in case of PTU (applicable for GNDEC, Ludhiana & Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Fathegarh Sahib Institutes), students can avail benefit of Rural Area in addition to his / her reserved category (i.e. SC, BC, Sports etc). But if student wish to keep Rural Area as his main category for PTU and Punjabi University, Patiala then he should select main category as General and under Rural/Urban status select Eligible for rural area status in Punjab State and tick () Rural seats in Punjabi University. j) For availing Sikh Minority benefit from Punjab State as well as other states, the student will have to appear in Sikh Minority test conducted by SGPC. The details are available in the Brochure as well as in the website / k) Student should fill their aggregate percentage of marks correctly. l) Enter your contact number (Landline and Mobile), Address and ID. You will be notified about result and other important messages through SMS also. m) Before final submission of online Registration form, Read the declaration given in the website carefully and give you consent to it, failing which you will not be able to complete your registration. Also please note that once you complete your registration, you will not be able to change any details in your registration form thereafter. So you must check your information details carefully before final submission of your registration form. 3. CHOICE FILLING a) After successful registration and login, candidate s homepage is opened and following options are displayed: Registration Details: Registration Detail is important for seat allotment and should be filled very carefully. Edit Registration: Candidate can correct any mistake in the Registration Details through Edit Registration option, provided he/she has not freezed the registration form. Available Choices: System will provide the List of Colleges and branches thereof. Fill Choices: Candidates are advised to fill the College or branches of choice in order of preferences. It is in the interest of the candidate to fill maximum available choices of colleges and branches. Candidate can also alter/rearrange/delete the filled choices. Display filled choices: Choices entered by the Candidate will be displayed on different form so that he/she can check the already entered information. Print Choices: Candidate can also print the list of choices filled by him/her for record. b) Allotment of seat: After the choice filling period is over, all filled choices of all registered candidates will be considered for allotment of seats as per merit (Rank), category of the candidate and Seat Allotment Rules approved by participating Universities. 4. RESULT DECLARATION: On the date of result declaration, candidate who gets a seat will be informed by SMS. Alternatively candidate can logon to his/her account and check for allotment of seat. Successful Candidate can take printout of provisional allotment letter of college / Branch by logging into his/her account from the website The allotment of seat is purely provisional and subject to verification of original certificates and payment of college fee etc, at the time of reporting in the allotted institute. 5. REPORTING IN THE ALLOTTED INSTITUTE: Candidates are required to report to their respective allotted institutions within the specified period (as per the Counselling schedule) along with the documents/ testimonials/ certificates and pay college fee as prescribed in the prospectus. If candidates do not report within the specified period, their allotted seats shall be cancelled and the candidates shall not have any claim on the seats, whatsoever. It is in the interest of the candidates to report at the earliest to the allotted college. 6. PARTICIPATION IN SECOND ROUND: The Candidates falling under 85% Punjab quota and 15% Other States quota, irrespective of whether they have been allotted a seat or not allotted seat or could not join the allotted institution or could not participate in the earlier round can participate in the second phase of counseling by registering them for subsequent round. 60

OTHER IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS a) Candidate must ensure about his/her eligibility as per Government Notifications/ Information Brochure available on website b) The Detailed Instructions about the online Counselling will be available on the website and It is advised to go through the details thoroughly at these sites before proceeding registration. c) Candidates are advised to visit the above mentioned websites regularly for updates related to counselling. d) The candidates are advised not to submit original certificates at the college at the time of admission e) The details regarding the total number of seats in a particular college is available on the f) In case of Fee waiver Scheme, Total number of seats will be 5% over and above the sanctioned intake of the course. g) In case of non availability of students in Fee waiver scheme, the same shall not be given to any other category of applicants. h) Student admitted under Fee waiver scheme and such a beneficiary shall not be allowed to change institution or course under any circumstances i) The fee waiver to a student shall be for the complete duration of the course. j) The student availing fee waiver seat will not be entitled to avail financial assistance under any other Government Scheme what so ever. However, he / she shall be eligible for any scholarship available on competition / merit basis. 61

8 COUNSELLING PROCEDURE for B. ARCHITECTURE PTU will hold joint online counselling for admission to 1 st year of B. Architecture course in the colleges affiliated to PTU Jalandhar based on NATA Score, as applicable, for Admission Session through two rounds of counselling. The detailed procedure for participating in Centralized Online Counselling is as under:- 1. COUNSELLING FEE: To participate in the centralized Online Counselling of 1 st year of B. Architecture course, every candidate belonging to 85% quota and 15% quota, irrespective of his/her category, shall have to deposit a Counselling fee of Rs. 2000/- (Non-Refundable) by following ways:- Log into Fill the respective information. Then enter the green number as shown in Parallel. (Before you proceed to register yourself for Counselling you must ensure that you have read and understood the eligibility criteria of PTU and PAU for each Reserve category and General category.) e) Select your state of eligibility carefully as you will only be allowed to participate either in Punjab (85% Quota) or other state (15% Quota). f) Student should fill his/her gender. g) Select your Main category, Sub category and Priority in case of Sports and Defence category from the Drop box. Pharmacy Fee Waiver in the colleges affiliated to PTU Jalandhar based on inter-se merit in the qualifying examination, as applicable, for Admission Session through two rounds of counselling. The detailed procedure for participating in Centralized Online Counselling is as under:- 1. COUNSELLING FEE : To Participate in the centralized online counseling of 1 st year of B. Pharmacy & B. Enter your Contact Address, City, Pin code, contact number (Landline and Mobile), and ID very carefully. You will be notified about result and other important messages through SMS also. k. If all the fields are filled correctly then press SUBMIT YOUR DETAILS button for successful registration. l. Before final submission of online Registration form, Read the declaration given in the website carefully and give your consent to it, failing which you will not be able to complete your registration. Also please note that once you complete your registration, you will not be able to change any details in your registration form thereafter. So you must check your information details carefully before final submission of registration form. m. 13 e) The details regarding the total number of seats in a particular college is available on the f) In case of Fee waiver Scheme, Total number of seats will be 5% over and above the sanctioned intake of the course. g) In case of non availability of students in Fee waiver scheme, the same shall not be given to any other category of applicants. h) Student admitted under Fee waiver scheme and such a beneficiary shall not be allowed to change institution or course under any circumstances i) The fee waiver to a student shall be for the complete duration of the course. j) The student availing fee waiver seat will not be entitled to avail financial assistance under any other Government Scheme what so ever. Sub: Prevention and prohibition of Ragging in technical Institutions, Universities including Deemed to be Universities imparting technical education. F.No.37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009 In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23 read with Section 10 (b), (g), (p) and (q) of AICTE Act, 1987, the All India Council for Technical Education, hereby makes the following Regulations:- 1. Short title and commencement These Regulations may be called the All India Council for Technical Education (Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Technical Institutions, Universities including Deemed to be Universities imparting technical education) Regulations 2009 They shall come into force on the date of the notification. 2. Objectives In view of the directions of the Hon ble Supreme Court in SLP No of 2006 dated and in Civil Appeal number 887 of 2009, dated to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student or asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student, with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student, in all higher education institutions in the country, and thereby, to provide for the healthy development, physically and psychologically, of all students, the All India Council for Technical Education,(AICTE) brings forth these Regulations. 14 RESERVED CATEGORY S CLAIM Every candidate must indicate in his / her application the reserved category and sub reserved category (if applicable) for which he / she wants to apply. Candidate seeking admission under a reserved category will be entitled to apply for only one reserved category. Candidate shall be required to bring original certificates when called upon to do so. Candidates not claiming any reservation shall be treated and considered as a General Candidate. Rules / instructions of Govt. of Punjab, Regarding reserved categories as amended from time to time, will be applicable. The reservation policy of the Punjab Govt. is also given in this Brochure. Reservation policy of Universities other than PTU shall be governed by their respective reservation criteria. PTU shall have no role in interpreting such criteria. ALL ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES IN SUPPORT OF THEIR CLAIM MUST BE PRODUCED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION OR WHEN CALLED UPON TO DO SO. Important : As per the vide letter no. F.1-27/2009 (SCT) issued by University Grants Commission all the eligible SC/ST, OBC, PwD students etc. should submit their scholarship form for the academic year by February for processing scholarship to SC/ST, OBC, PwD etc. TIE BREAKING IN CASE OF B.ARCH. In case of tie the same shall be decided as follows For Architecture (i) (ii) (iii) The candidate scoring higher marks in NATA shall be higher in merit In case of tie in (i) above, candidates scoring higher marks in 10 th examination shall be higher in merit. In case of tie in (ii) above, candidates senior in age shall rank higher in order of merit.
