31 WDC RSAT supports the following main WMO GAW programme developments and associated tasks Develop GAW into a three dimensional global atmospheric chemistry measurement network through the integration of observations of surfacebased, balloon borne, aircraft, satellite and other remote sensing observations. Make certain sectors of GAW, such as total ozone, ozone sounding and aerosol observations, compatible with near real time (NRT) delivery of data. Increase the usage of the WMO GTS/ WIS for exchange of GAW data. Fuse observational systems, data assimilation and modelling, data bases and product delivery, and quality assurance and validation into coherent data processing chains, related to a defined GAW quality management system within the WMO Quality Management Framework (QMF) 31
