It describes the access modes to the application Publication dedicated to data availability services. It describes the data of different services (basic BR offer, Dat@RTE BR Data, Dat@RTE BR Forecast Position services). The BR customer has an access contract to the IS (Form for access applications) of RTE in each case and possibly a service contract for Dat@RTE optional services. 1.2 Reference documents [1] User guide of files - Balance Responsible PUB V doc Reference : MO-SIT-DSIT-CIMPSI-DPCM
5 Page: 5/47 2 THE SERVICE 2.1 Features Publication V2 is an application giving access to the data concerning the scope of a Balance Responsible (BR). The customer Balance Responsibles have at their disposal the data in accordance to the market rules they belong to (Contrat RE-MA-Prog), and in relation to the supplementary contracts they concluded. The access to certain data is submitted to a service contract Dat@ RTE. The data are available in different ways : An interactive portal : this portal gives access to the published data via a standard Internet browser. Using this browser, it is also possible to download the corresponding data files (one or several days). A downloading tool : The data can be downloaded according to the beforehand selected criteria : data date or publishing date of the data, selected data flows and file format. A mail service : The data files are sent to the BR s mailbox in a pre-defined format. This channel is adapted to automate the integration of these data files into your information system. The data is available in three formats : XML : Based on a DTD created by RTE and based on the ETSO specifications (European Transmission System Operators). This format can be used in all current development environments having an XML parser. CSV2 : This format can directly be used by a spreadsheet tool like EXCEL. Data are directly understandable by the tool. CSV : This format can be used by a spreadsheet tool like EXCEL and displays the data in a table. 2.2 Security Access to the Publication application is through Internet. This access is secured by a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The authentication on Portal uses secure protocol HTTPS (SSL V3). The Mailbox uses the standard S/MIME. The connection package which has been provided contains all necessary tools for allowing access. Whatever service the customer has subscribed, the access to Publication requires an access contract to the IS (Form for access applications) of RTE which identifies by name a certificate owner. Customer is responsible for notifying RTE any certificate owner change.
6 Page: 6/ User s Hotline A permanent user s Hotline (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) is available to the users of the application : RTE Hotline centre For french and foreign customers, the toll-free # Vert : For french customers only, the # Azur : By [email protected]

A click on icon authorises to unfold all the rubrics A click on icon authorises to fold all the rubrics The icon means that it is possible to unfold the rubric and consult other data The icon means that no other data are available under the rubric The icon means that the most detailed data is displayed 3 - Calendar to select the date (day, month, year) for the data display : you can enter the date or select the date with the calendar or chose the date using date preselection (-1M, -1W, -1D, +1D, +1W, +1M).
10 Page: 10/47 When you connect yourself to consult data the date that displays is the day before except if you have chosen forecast data service. In this case default displayed date is tomorrow. 4 - Data display area displays the data in relation to the selected flow type, 5 - Download tool (bottom of the data table) allows to download data corresponding to the date displayed or to a period. Concerning a period, the result file presents the concatenation of several data days. Format file choice Using the download function : - Select the date or the period of the data, through manual insert or pop-up calendars, - Select the file format : XML or CSV or CSV2, - File format choice releases downloading and then proposes to record the result. Download function results : - The function returns the file corresponding to displayed data for the date or the period. When the user asks for more than one day of data, the data are concatenated into one file. Resulting format files are described in the document in reference [1]. Possible actions Date change How to do? 3 possibilities are available : Direct insert of the date, Selection of the date through the calendar, Using the buttons : -1M (less one month), -1W (less one week), -1D (less one day), +1D (one day more), +1W (one week more), +1 M (one month more), to increment or decrement the number corresponding to day, week, month. Result Display of the data for the day considered How to do? 13 Page: 13/47 Accessing Cataliz: By cliquing on the link Services, (on the top right), a new page opens with Cataliz: 4.2 Data exchange between information system : message system Principles This way of distribution includes that mails are sent periodically to a particular mail box, hosted by RTE. On a daily base, the customer receives an with the data in an attached file in his message box. The attached file is zipped and contains all data files in format XML or CSV or CSV2, according to the customer s preferences. If the data volume is high, he will receive several s each with a zip-file attached. N.B. : if the customer has asked for the "Forecast offer", a specific message, including Full day-ahead report, is sent every day at six o clock in the afternoon. Naming of the attached.zip file : <Name BR>_<message emission date and time >_<Nr message >.zip Set-up The customer has to connect to his mailbox on the Global Intranet network to retrieve his messages including the attached files. Therefore, the mail software has to be set-up with the following pieces of information : Incoming message server: Server type pop.services.rte-france.com POP3
14 Page: 14/47 User name message box Message box password User ID on the accompanying letter followed by the suffix «.SRVRTE» <in the accompanying letter> N.B. : In case of access problem to the message server, contact your computing department.
15 Page: 15/ Mail texts The sender of all messages is RTE Réseau de Transport d Electricité The text of the message containing the data files is : Paris, < date of the mail send > Dear customer < Customer name > (RE), Please find the following files < name of the attached files > RTE Système d'information. For more detailed information about the data type and formats, please refer to the Guide for the utilization of files transmitted by the application Publication (reference [1]). Directories and files names included in the zip file are the same as those delivered via «message system». NB : - Caution, downloading authorises a maximum of 31 days. Depending on profile (complexity of the perimeter) of the customer, he may download from 1 to 31 days of data. If the asked period is too long the following message is displayed : So, select a shorter period! The maximum files number authorised is files. Necessary time to execute the job depends on the asked quantity, files format, concatenation or not. It may take a several hours. - A single user can t ask for more than one downloading.
