Manage physical security (access control, intruder alarms, and perimeter security) with a comprehensive scalable Microsoft Windows based system. Gallagher s security platform meets the needs of small single sites, through to large multinational enterprise-wide installations. Our Command Centre software platform features robust open integration architecture. The system has the scope to meet whatever your security requirements may be. It is an intruder alarm system, an access control system, a perimeter security system and a central hub for integrated site security. It is also a management information system which automatically executes business policy. Gallagher s security platform resides on an organisation s IT network and stores information about cardholders, the site, and system activity. The system collects real time data and can be integrated with other systems whether for security management (for example, DVR and perimeter security systems), or business management (for example, facilities management and HR systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft ). The system design of Gallagher s security platform is both straightforward and flexible, to enable it to meet the specification of each individual site. Customers are able to design and adapt screen layouts in minutes with full support for multi-monitor workstations. All the information needed to complete a task is provided seamlessly and in context, on one screen. Gallagher Command Centre is the central management software for the system. Supporting peer-to-peer communications over TCP/IP, intelligent Gallagher field Controllers enable efficient and effective distributed system configuration. They are designed for making security decisions in the field. Our field Controllers operate independently of the Command Centre software and feature the same strong, open integration architecture enabling event correlation from field sensors and edge devices. 18 edge devices Gallagher Field Controllers The Controllers are designed with peer-to-peer communications enabling security operations in the field independent of the Command Centre and flexible and cost efficient system design. Gallagher Controllers are intelligent field controllers, programmed to make access control and intruder alarm decisions and execute and enforce business policy in the field, independent of the Gallagher Command Centre. This means in the event network communications are disrupted, security is maintained on site. Providing flexible configuration options to meet specific site requirements, Gallagher Controllers: > Support peer-to-peer communications with any Gallagher Controller over a LAN/WAN for the purposes of monitoring, back-up, and control independent of the Command Centre > Utilize programmable logic to enable full inter-controller logic functionality independent of the Command Centre > Communicate with the Gallagher Command Centre using native TCP/IP over an Ethernet network > Support downloadable code for software upgrades. 19 edge devices Gallagher Controller 6000 GALLAGHER co ntroller 6000 As one of the key integrated components for Gallagher systems, Controller 6000 provides distributed intelligence in the field, managing access control and security functions independently of the Gallagher Command Centre. controller 6000 In addition, it has the ability to physically enforce business rules, be aware of its environment, communicate with other systems nearby and make enriched access decisions based on variables from these systems. There are two variants: the Controller 6000 and the Controller 6000 High Spec (HS). The Controller 6000 is a powerful modular, intelligent field controller for processing, storing and communicating large amounts of data in real time. The Controller 6000 database is capable of supporting up to a maximum of 500,000 card records and 80,000 events for access control functions. Available in both the standard black and white colour options with matching bezels Gallagher T Series Reader range can also be customized with a premium range of striking satin silver or gold bezels to complement an extensive array of interior and exterior decors. As a LOCAL BUS device, the Intelligent Door Terminal is supported by the Controller 5000GL. Incorporating a dot matrix LCD, keypad and digital intercom, the Intelligent Door Terminal (IDT) is a feature-rich reader for high security access control. > Intruder alarms can be armed (set) and disarmed (unset) by authorised cardholders > The back-lit dot-matrix LCD enables prompts, time and date, feedback and cardholder names to be displayed at the reader > If an alarm is triggered, an operator can activate the intercom to listen to what is happening in the area. Gallagher Remote Arming Terminal The Gallagher Remote Arming Terminal is a GBUS device. The Remote Arming Terminal is a versatile, user-friendly keypad interface for intruder alarm monitoring and control. Installed within the protected alarm zone, the Remote Arming Terminal allows users to monitor, arm (set) and disarm (unset) various alarm zones (areas of the intruder alarm system.) As a GBUS device, the Remote Arming Terminal is supported by all the Controllers. Each Remote Arming Terminal can control up to 30 alarm and fence zones and up to 100 inputs located on any Controller residing on the same network. Users are assigned privileges to perform functions such as arm, disarm, or isolate alarm and fence zones (individually or all at once), and view and acknowledge alarms. Secure logon is provided through entering a user code on the keypad, or alternatively using a Gallagher reader in conjunction with the Remote Arming Terminal. For sites which implement Cardholder competencies, the Remote Arming Terminal can provide on screen text feedback to cardholders about their pending competency expiries and the corrective action required to prevent access denial, or the action required to reinstate competencies if access has been prevented. All the Gallagher Controllers support a range of GBUS devices to provide cost effective configuration options. In addition to security requirements, the devices can be used to monitor inputs and control outputs to meet other requirements such as temperature monitoring. 8-Input Expansion Interface The 8-Input Expansion Interface provides connections for up to 8 balanced inputs. I/O Expansion Interface The I/O Expansion Interface provides connections for up to 8 balanced inputs and 4 relay outputs. High Density I/O Interface The High Density I/O Interface provides connections for up to 16 balanced inputs and 16 relay outputs. GBUS Universal Reader Interface The GBUS Universal Reader Interface provides connections for 8 inputs, 2 outputs, and 2 Gallagher readers or 1 Wiegand reader. Configured in conjunction with the Gallagher Controller, the GBUS Universal Reader Interface will deliver a cost effective solution for retrofitting sites using a daisy-chained RS-485 wiring structure. Gallagher Trophy FT Fence Controllers monitor and control fence zones, actively deterring and detecting intruder attempts. 28 edge devices d10 & d21 Sensors Gallagher D10 and D21 Intrusion Detection Sensors Gallagher s integration of new perimeter intrusion detection sensors extends the capability of the Gallagher system in managing and monitoring perimeter security. D10 - Measures the mechanical disturbance of a tensioned fence wire. When a fence wire is disturbed through an attack, the balance of tension will be altered creating an alarm in the monitoring system. This integration allows multiple perimeter deterrent and detection technologies to be combined and utilized in conjunction with access control and intruder alarm management, all on one software platform. D21 - Measures energy transferred within a physical structure when it is disturbed - the sensor analyses the information and signals an alarm event in the Gallagher Command Centre when certain alarm thresholds are exceeded. The D21 Sensor is suitable for all metallic type structures including perimeter fence lines to internal and external walls and floors. Integration between the Gallagher Controller 6000 and D10 or D21 disturbance sensors offers proven and sophisticated detection systems for both the perimeter fence and other structures. The Gallagher system can include: > D10 sensors only, > D21 sensors only or > A combination of both to provide ultimate detection coverage. 28

33 system components Gallagher Cabinets gallagher cabinet There are two housing options for the Gallagher Controller and I/O Expasion Device printed circuit boards (PCBs). The sizes of the individual PCBs vary and are designed to be proportional to the footprint of the Cabinets. 1. The Gallagher Single Cabinet is manufactured from a strong polycarbonate/abs plastic alloy, the Cabinet provides one footprint for Gallagher field Controllers and GBUS I/O PCBs. Optical tamper protection is provided for both the front and rear, for those PCBs supporting tamper protection. dual cabinet 2. The Gallagher Dual Cabinet is a secure steel enclosure accommodating two footprints, doubling the housing capacity for any combination of Gallagher PCBs. When the PCB is installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions, optical tamper protection is provided for both the front and rear of the Cabinet. The Cabinet is available with an optional 8 Amp power supply which has visible indicators for low mains and low battery power monitoring. The cabinet can house up to 4 7Ah batteries within the enclosure. 33

These include: > Digital volt meters to display fence voltage to enable tracing and servicing fence line conditions > Fence impulse analyser to analyze all variables related to the operation of the Gallagher perimeter fence for example, energy, peak voltage, peak current, pulse duration and interval. Security Posts Gallagher security posts are available in a range of lengths and thicknesses to accommodate both the site s security and environmental requirements. Key features include: > Pointed tips to prevent intruders from climbing over the fence > Pre-punched holes for insulators and offset mounting blocks to assist installation > Roll-formed to increase strength > Fully hot dipped to galvanise the steel posts at the end of the production process, protecting all surfaces from corrosion. Insulators, Hooks and Springs Gallagher insulators, hooks (strains) and springs have been specifically designed to meet security requirements. Options are available to accommodate a wide variety of installation applications including corners, gates and fence termination. Wire Gallagher wire options include: > High tensile steel fencing wire which is fully galvanised coated to prevent corrosion > High conductivity fencing wire which never rusts. These are made of an aluminium alloy to help maintain the pulse strength right through to the end of the fence. Double Insulated Cable Gallagher cable is available for undergate and lead-out applications. The cable is double insulated to guarantee high voltage insulation even when submerged in water. A high conductivity option is available to accommodate lead-out cabling over long distances. 34

38 electric fence systems Gallagher Trophy 6 trophy 6 fence controller & keypad The Trophy 6 system offers a total perimeter security solution for medium to high security sites and can be configured to suit a wide range of specialist applications. Trophy systems are high feature systems with multiple channel controllers. The Trophy 6 system can be configured to control and monitor up to 6 electric fence zones with up to four alarm inputs. The Fence Controller sends regulated electrical pulses along each fence channel. The returning pulses are monitored. Any attempt to climb the fence, disable the fence or cut the wire is detected. The system includes one or two 3-channel fence controllers and an intelligent keypad for remote access. T he keypad is the control point and makes all the decisions for the system. The technology used in the Gallagher Trophy systems facilitates advanced features such as smart battery backup, earth voltage monitoring, pulse synchronisation, zone identification, high voltage zone separation and selectable zone control. The Trophy 6 system can also be integrated into other building management systems such as access control and monitoring equipment such as CCTV. They provide effective and compatible perimeter security solution with single channel controllers. These systems are widely installed on commercial sites where an active system to effectively detect and actively deter intruders, without nuisance alarms, is required. Medal systems can be integrated with security monitoring equipment, such as sirens, lights, key switches and time relays.
