1 Welcome to the Roskilde Festival Design Guide The design system of the Roskilde Festival Group uses a symbolic canopy stage as the brand DNA for the whole Roskilde Festival Group. Together with a custom-made typography 4000, a distinct orange colour and the naming of the group s divisions, the canopy secures consistence and coherence in the visual identity of the group. This design guide contains descriptions and visualisations of the basic elements in the visual identity. It will help you find the right tools to apply the visual identity correctly. All ready-to-use elements can be downloaded from logo.roskilde-festival.dk Please contact Roskilde Festival if you have any questions regarding the brand identity.

7 The Colours
8 Colours The Orange is the primary colour and plays an important part in the visual identity. It has historic references to the canopy and it is warm, vibrant, and powerful. The colour is to be present on - and to be produced as similar as possible across all platforms and materials from Roskilde Festival. Background colour is primarily Orange. The Orange is defined on basis of the simple CMYK definition with the corresponding PMS 151. Colour is reproduced differently on different materials e.g on vinyl, uncoated paper, and paper of different colour tones and the result also depends on humidity, printer settings etc. why the produced colour will never match 100%. However, by simplifying (having a fewer suppliers, a fewer types of materials etc.) there is a probability that the Orange will be represented consistently. Moreover, always use the Orange PMS and not any other left-over or cheaper colours. Orange Orange CMYK 0/65/100/0 RGB 233/88/20 Pantone 151 Black and White are used for accompanying the Orange. Always use logo files in RGB for screen use. White Black
9 Colour Gradient and Multiply Multiply may be used and the annual festival identity may introduce a temporary colour. E.g the Blue (with multiply) in the identity for. 13 Roskilde Festival Logos Versions The logo exists in three versions and in three different colours: white, black and orange. Furthermore, there is - for each of these versions a basic and a festival logo. The basic logo is the general logo used on platforms and elements across the annual festivals. The festival logo includes year and is only used on festival specific platforms and elements. The primary logos: One-deck logo and two-deck logo (basic and festival versions) The choice of one- or two-deck logo depends on the format it is to be applied upon. The secondary logo: The canopy logo (basic and festival version) The canopy logo may be used alone, for instance on merchandise or on signage on the festival site. 24 CVI & Campaign Typography The font 4000 is custom-made for Roskilde Festival and is the primary font. A simple, yet characteristic font. Simple in its basic design and expression - especially when used in one weight and in small sizes. However, combining the different weights makes it possible to vary the expression, it creates a characteristic look, and makes the font flexible for multiple stakeholders and purposes Heavy Left (-22 ) 4000 Heavy 4000 Heavy Right (22 ) Furthermore, the font is slightly condensed which makes it optimal for the annual music poster and the font has great applicability in both small and huge text sizes.
