6 3. Master of Science in International Finance and Economics (MIFE) MIFE Bridging Courses 3.1. MIFE-Bridging Courses (Pre-master) Bridging courses are for students of the Master program in International Finance and Economics whose prior degree is based on less than 210 ECTS or whose previous academic studies have been assessed as not being sufficient by the Admission Committee. The Admission Committee will prepare a list of suitable courses from the Bachelor program in International Business. Based on this list each pre-master student will receive via an individual proposal of courses to be taken. If no reply to this is sent back to the university within 14 days, the pre-master student agrees to the proposal made. Otherwise, an individual meeting will be set up and options will be discussed. Once the pre-master courses have been determined, these courses have to be attended during the first semester and exams have to be taken at the end of the semester. Only in two courses, exams can be repeated once. All other courses have to be successfully passed at first attempt. The failed exams have to be repeated within 6 months after the first unsuccessful attempt. For questions concerning the course selection, please turn to the program assistant, Ms Katrin Eckstein.
