1 3rd INTERNATIONAL PURE COUNTRY FESTIVAL Wolsztyn, August 10th 12th 2012 Pure Country festival came into being out of the initiative of the local community of the town of Wolsztyn (Wielkopolskie voivodate). Its main purpose is to promote the non commercial musical events and the values conveyed by the American Country Music, symbiotic with the ecological purity of the region (Wolsztyn has the status of the town and region ecologically pure, granted officially by the European Union), which fact has generated the festival s title. The festival is a non commercial, admission free event. produced in collaboration of Mayor of Wolsztyn, and it is financed entirely by the town s budget and by the financial resources obtained by the Foundation for its statute activity. Currently we are working on the third edition of Pure Country, scheduled for August 11 12, The first edition drew the crowd of nearly and enjoyed a very good feedback from both the fans and local community. Last year, on the second edition, the attendance grew up to 7.000, including the fans from all over Poland and neighboring Germany. Its headliners were: Grammy and the CMA Award winner, Nashville singer/songwriter Billy Yates, Georgette Jones daughter of legendary musical couple, Tammy Wynette and George Jones, who carries on her parents tradition with royal dignity and class, and the Polish legend of Country Music Michael Lonstar, who is also festival s Artistic Director. Pure Country festival is embraced by the patronage of all significant media of the Greater Poland region: TV Poznan, Radio Merkury, Glos Wielkopolski daily, and also by TV Bydgoszcz, TV Torun, Radio Warszawa, Polski Traker monthly, plus numerous local and nation wide music media from Poland and Germany, in their number the media focused specifically on country music. The festival concerts are broadcast live in their entirety through the internet in the live stream mode with HD quality, on festival s own UStream channel. Last year s attendance amounted to fifteen something thousand independent connections in many countries, USA included.

2 Our festival collaborates on the business partnership basis with the producers of two other international enterprises: Lithuanian Visagino Country Festival ( )and German Country Music Messe ( ). Our collaboration encompasses the artistic exchange and mutual promotional action in the country music markets of the above mentioned countries. On that basis the festival is embraced by the media patronage of two biggest German country music business media: Western Mail monthly (circulation ) and the leading radio station, countrymusic24.com. Moreover, we keep receiving a strong, positive feedback from the country music fans in Germany and we expect even more of their organized tourist groups coming to Wolsztyn this year. About III PURE COUNTRY Festival s program: RAY SCOTT, the untamed rebel to the bone, and at the same time a great stylist of the genre, whose songs and attitude stand in defense of true values and sounds of country music, against the prevalent, ill conceived commerce and pop. He expressed his artistic motto in his big hit, My Kind of Music (from his first, namesake CD), while his recent album bears adequate title Rayality, which is both a paraphrase of his first name and a definition of the CD s content. And, among a dozen of other great songs, there s his last, outrageously funny hit, Those Jeans. The album will be available on sale in Wolsztyn! Ray Scott s songs are covered by such superstars as Trace Adkins, Randy Travis or Clay Walker. His songwriting skills match his vocal talent. Ray successfully tours the world as a singer in his own right. His appearance at the Pure Country 2012 will be his first ever and ONLY show in Poland. GEORGE HAMILTON IV, called "The International Ambassador of Country Music", Grand Ole Opry legend, the unquestioned mentor and mainstay of Country[singleQuote]s best traditions. Living encyclopedia of Country Music, and at the same time an Artist whose name is the constant entry in every encyclopedia. A true Southern Gentleman straight from the "Gone With The Wind" epoch, that thank God has not gone with the wind. GEORGE HAMILTON V, the son of George IV, the continuator of the family tradition, who writes and sings in the contemporary rough around the edges country rockin[singlequote] honky tonk mold. An untamed volcano of stage energy, spiced with that showcase Southern sense of humor.

3 GEORGE HAMILTON IV & V will appear in Wolsztyn backed by Poland s own Colorado Band, with whom they have been collaborating occasionally for many years. In their Wolsztyn concert they will premiere their joint recording Project ACROSS THE OCEAN. Nashville Stars will appear in Poland EXCLUSIVELY AT Pure Country in Wolsztyn! Among the representatives of the European country music scene there will be our German neighbors, HILLBILLY DELUXE with their original material of contemporary new traditional country music,. There will also be a strong representation of Poland. Among them 2011 Artist of the Year, MICHAEL LONSTAR with his Band, the most stylish Polish country band, the HONKY TONK BROTHERS, many time awarded, stage volcano, famous dynamic lady singer ALICJA BONCOL, solid western swing band COACH and a little young artist with big talent and equally big heart for country music, justly heralded Polish Country Music Hope, DOROTA KRAWCZYK in her new look and new repertoire, with some extra surprises during her show. On the dance side, there will appear Poland s best country dance troupe, winners of the 2009 Artist of the Year Award, RODEO DANCE, the dancers of the social dance club DALLAS COUNTRY. The visitors will find a wide range of other attractions: a variety of local cuisine spots, concession stands with Country & Western apparel and accessories, music booths and the annual GUITAR LOTTERY provided by Polish official distributor of Takamine and Ovation Guitars ZIBI company, plus many surprises which you ll find while being there. Additionally, starting from Friday, August 10 th, the City Park will host the kick off side events titled PURE COUNTRY WARMING UP!. In their number: concerts of the supporting acts (the band ALABAMA BAND among many others), plus presentation of country and rock n roll dances and dance workshops for all interested. The official conclusion of the Friday workshops will have the contest formula and festival s producers will provide attractive awards for the best amateur dancers. And in between the evening concerts and other artistic festival attractions, Wolsztyn invites you to its numerous tourist and recreation activities: the beach, bathing, aquatic sports in the Wolsztyn Lake, bicycle routes, forest trails and above all, a true time travel to a unique, worldwide famous old steam engine station and museum. All the above mentioned attractions are FREE, because Pure Country is an admission free enterprise.
