Secured and managed the $49,000 Rotary Foundation grant for The Caring Place Georgetown. Secured $461,340 federal grant from Health Service Research Administration to purchase equipment for the Texas Life-Sciences Collaboration Center (TLCC). Secured $263,000 federal grant from U.S. Department of Education for the Hispanic Studies Center in conjunction with the National Hispanic Institute. Played a leadership role in creating the Texas Life-Sciences Collaboration Center, a joint venture between the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Southwestern University (SU) and the City of Georgetown. Uniquely positioned Georgetown as a biotech hub which continually benefits SU students through internships.
