The unit is an ideal solution for large car sharing companies looking to reduce costs, or startup companies looking for a proven, and cheap hardware provider. The unit is manufactured by Pointer Telocation Ltd. a recognized industry leader in fleet management and vehicle security, with over 500,000 active vehicles worldwide. Utilizing GSM/GPRS communication, together with advanced SIRFIII GPS technology, the CS-28p ensures cost effective and reliable communication to an online car sharing reservation and management system. Through the management system, the unit provides a variety of services for managing reservations, live vehicle tracking, event driven reporting, logging, and security capabilities. The functions are optional and fully customizable to the needs of the car sharing operator. Features Fleet management and car sharing capabilities Vehicle entry management: Utilizing a RFID reader mounted on the front windshield, the unit locks/unlocks the vehicle when members with an active reservation swipe their proximity card next to the reader. The vehicle activates/disables the immobilizer accordingly. All of this information, together with the vehicle odometer is sent to the car sharing online management system, which processes the trip cost according to the operator s specifications. No-communication functionality: The unit has the ability to identify customers, and function in areas with no communication. This is especially relevant for operators who wish to put vehicles in underground parking, or remote areas. Self service: The unit can be used for both pre-ordered reservations, and spontaneous un-planned reservations. Master-cards: The unit can operate master cards for operational staff wanting to use the vehicle without reservations.

3 Driving behavior: The unit can provide numerous driving behavior alerts in real time. These are configurable to the operator s specifications, and include: Speeding Alerts when the vehicle is left running in an idle position for too long Sudden acceleration/deceleration alerts Sudden direction change (sharp/dangerous turning) Real time tracking/alerts/commands: The unit provides real time information on vehicle status and location. It can also receive commands from the management system automatically and manually. These can be used as a remote control. In addition to the previously mentioned, these commands and alerts include: Low battery alerts Fuel Status Door status (open/closed) Lock/unlock door commands Activate/disable immobilizer command Honk car horn command Voice Kit: The voice kit allows the car sharing operator to call members inside the vehicle, and members to call out using the call button. Call button: When pushed, the call button will automatically initiate a phone call from the unit using the voice kit to your call center. This provides a simple manner for the end users to talk with a call center. Alternatively, the button can simply send an alert to the management system, which can be converted into an or SMS. Finish button: The finish button is used to end reservations early. This enables you to free up vehicle resources, and increase vehicle utilization. Installation: Installing the unit is easy, unobtrusive and easy to learn.

4 Communication Three Communication Methods: The unit includes a GSM/GPRS modem, allowing communication over TCP/IP or UDP/IP, and CSD; all with auto-switching to SMS in the case of GPRS failure. This multi-layered communication is especially efficient for areas with low GPRS coverage like underground parking and remote locations. In addition, various programming parameters help to reduce communication costs in roaming. The unit has full functionality with all of the available communication channels. GPS Sensor: A 20-channel SIRFIII GPS sensor provides reliable reception sensitivity, ensuring fast and accurate location functions. Over-The-Air communication: All upgrades and configurations can be executed over the air, without immobilizing the unit, or physically connecting. Security functionality Covert installation: The small size of the unit allows it to be installed deep inside the vehicle's interior and thus avoid discovery and tampering. Immobilization: The unit uses immobilization control methods approved by insurance companies. Real Time Tracking: In the case of a security issue, the unit can provide real-time tracking and up-to-date status reports. Security Alerts: The unit can be easily programmed to supply numerous security alerts, derived from vehicle inputs. These include: GPS disconnected from unit /Main power disconnected from unit Ignition status Immobilization status Towing detection Door open/closed, locked/unlocked status

5 Geo-Fencing: In case the vehicle violates a designated perimeter or enters a predefined prohibited zone, an immediate alert is triggered. Backup Battery: The unit has an optional backup battery, which enables status and location reports even if the unit has been disconnected. This is especially useful in the case of theft. Log memory: When cellular coverage is unreliable or absent, the unit s non-volatile memory can store up to 2256 complete time-stamped events. This data will be transmitted immediately when coverage is resumed. Logged events are stored for an unlimited duration, even in case of failure of both primary and back-up power sources. Driver authentication: The unit is aware of its reservation status, and can provide alerts in the case of unauthorized use. Impact/accident alerts: Alert on accidents from the optional G-Sensor, in real time.

6 Components and accessories Central Unit GPS Antenna RFID reader: Proximity reader used to identify members who reserved the vehicle. Harness: Used to connect between the central unit, GPS antenna, RFID reader, optional accessories and vehicle. Keypad (optional): Unobtrusive touch pad with FINISH and CALL buttons. Hands free Voice Kit (optional): Used to utilize the call button, and to initiate voice calls to the vehicle. Rechargeable batteries (optional): Connected internally to the unit, and used to retain functionality if the main power is disconnected Accident Sensor (optional): Impact-Sensor, used to alert any impact over 8g (frontal), or 3g (side).
