3 The situation today in Sweden Deliveries of vehicle gas fuel increased with 35% between 2009 and Skåne, Västra Götaland and Stockholm's Counties stands for ca 70 % Other counties has increases on more than 200 % The share of biogas in the vehicle gas is in average more than 60%. Total supplies of 59,3 million Nm3 biogas. More than gas vehicles

19 Whats next? 25 times more biogas in 2020! The politicians of the Västra Götaland region want to increase production of biogas used within the transport sector by 25 times, from 0,1 TWh/yr to 2,4 TWh/yr

20 Policy and support programme for biogas in Västra Götaland Environmental board has launched a programme and joint initiative for the biogas development Totally 2,6million allocated to lead, coordinate and support prioritised measures All actors connected to the regional network contributes to the work and will act within their companies and organisations to reach the objectives The programme/joint initiative still has the name Biogas Väst (west)

21 What does the regional administration of Västra Götaland do? Redan 2004 beslutade Västra Götalandsregionen att köpa in enbart miljöbilar beslutade regionstyrelsen att biogasen är prioriterad som bränsle för verksamheternas bilar. I dec 2010 antog miljönämnden ett treårigt program för biogasutveckling i regionen och satte upp planeringsmål för 2020

22 Objectives Planeringsmål: 2020 ska produktionen av biogas i Västra Götaland vara 2,4 TWh/år 2020 ska användningen av biogas i Västra Götaland vara 2,4 TWh/år Av detta ska 1,2 TWh produceras genom rötning och 1,2 TWh genom förgasning Delmål för : Producerad respektive använd biogas ska uppgå till 0,3 TWh (idag 0,1 TWh) Nya produkter och demonstrationsprojekt på plats Fler delmål under respektive delområde
