1 Opening for SAUDI ARAMCO Chair for Global Supply Chain Management OBJECTIVES: The objective of etablihing the Global Supply Management, GSCM, Chair are lited below. All anticipated activitie and meaureable outcome per year are lited in Appendix A. 1.1 To identify the relevant buine challenge aociated with exiting local upply chain, interview with repreentative from the local indutry were conducted by Univerity in addition to the literature review. Some of the identified SCM area in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are a follow: Maintenance/repair/operation (MRO) Supply Chain Contracting Service Procurement Strategic Sourcing Inventory Management & Warehouing Supplier Management Cutomer Management GSCM Sytem Global and Dometic Logitic Project Management Cot etimating and analyi Forecating Quality Management Benchmarking for bet practice in GSCM GSCM Leaderhip and Governance 1.2 To provide expertie and conulting in relevant area of GSCM. 1.3 To reearch the exiting body of knowledge in the area of maintenance/repair/operation (MRO) and indirect material in the GSCM, in cooperation with international academia, profeional ocietie and other pertinent ource; 1.4 To ait Univerity in developing it GSCM academic curricula. 1.5 To provide a platform for local univeritie and indutry to dieminate and hare knowledge in GSCM. 1.6 To publih and edit a journal in the field of GSCM. 1

2 1.7 To Organize GSCM conference every two year. 1.8 To organize and teach workhop and eminar in the field of GSCM in coordination with the upply chain and SAUDI ARAMCO Material Supply. 1.9 To organize and conduct hort coure on GSCM related topic in coordination with SAUDI ARAMCO 1.10 To upport educational program at Univerity in undergraduate, potgraduate and profeional certification To etablih a newletter aimed at dieminating new trend and knowledge To mentor and upport Univerity college of buine faculty in the publication of their work in world cla journal To provide guidance to Saudi indutrial ector engaged in global logitic. APPOINTMENT OF THE GSCM CHAIR 2.1 The Univerity hall recommend the GSCM Chair candidate, either from within Univerity taff or outide of Univerity taff. The final election and appointment of the GSCM Chair profeor hall be by mutual agreement between the Univerity and SAUDI ARAMCO. 2.2 The GSCM Chair candidate hould poe the following qualification: Education (Baccalaureate, Mater and Doctorate) from accredited univeritie acceptable to both partie Significant experience in teaching and reearch at an internationally recognized univerity acceptable to both partie and the title of a full profeor at an intitution of higher learning acceptable to both partie Author of cholarly or buine publication related to upply chain management in journal with global ditribution Editor of a world cla journal publihed by an internationally recognized publiher Preident/CEO of a global organization (preferred but not a mut) Rich and varied conulting experience acro the world Global leaderhip evident in the form of participating and organizing international conference 2
