The guarantors must inform the applicants. To the applicants in Japan: We will announce the result to the applicants by mail directly. 2 Admission Requirements Applicants must meet all of the following requirements: 1. Posses foreign Passports. 2. Have completed 12 years of formal schooling ( elementary and secondary education ) or the equivalent and possess all qualifications recognized by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. 3. Have entered Japan with their passports, or a certification issued by their government s diplomatic office and can acquire College Students states or Student states. 4. Have a Japanese capability of at least JLPT N5 (former; Level 4) organized the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) 80 points or more, or have the equivalent and possess the Japanese language capacity. 5. Applicants who graduated after April, Notice 1. You cannot apply, if you were enrolled in another institution of Japanese language education within Japan for more than one year. 2. In case you are a permanent resident, a spouse of a permanent resident, or a spouse of a Japanese, you can enroll in this course by a different means. Please get the other application packet and submit necessary

2 documents to the Office of School Affairs on the 1 st floor of the 2 nd building at GKU (Gifu Keizai University). 3. We do not consider those who are in Japan with tourist visa to be Japanese residents. 4 System of Selection Selection will be done on the basis on application documents and interviews with the guarantors for the applicants from abroad. An interview will be held for the applicants who are residents in Japan. 5 Applicant Documents The applicant s guarantors must bring all of the following documents by him or herself to the office of entrance examination affairs on the second floor of the 1 st building in GKU. (1) Application for Admission (university-specified form) The application must be filled out in the applicants own handwriting in Japanese, English, or Chinese, and attach his /her photo. (2) Documents to be prepared by the applicant: Japanese translation must be accompanied when the document is not in Japanese. 1. High School Diploma or Graduation Certificate (original), or High School Graduation Letter If the applicants are educated more, he/she need submit all. School Transcript There must be stated all credits and value for each grade at all the educational organizations. 2. Physical Examination Record (university-specified form) within the last 6 months. 3. Copy of JLPT N5 (former: Level 4) or EJU, or the Letter of Recommendation ( university-specified form ) proving his/her Japanese language capacity. 4. Certificate of Japanese language credits and value from their institution. Be sure to write your name and address on the envelope ( university-specified form ) in the application package and submit it with sufficient postal stamps. We will mail a letter of result to the guarantor on the day of announcement. For the accepted applicant, we will also mail notification of acceptance and payment form. When the guarantor receives them, he/she must notify the applicant, pay the entrance fee and tuition, and fill out the application form for certificate of eligibility on the applicant s behalf and submit it by the deadline (1). If we do not receive the payment within a certain period, we will cancel the acceptance. 2. When the payment has been completed, we will mail the admission packet. The guarantor must mail the school register form in the packet to the applicant, and the applicant must fill it out and mail it back to the guarantor. The guarantor must fill out the other admission forms and submit all necessary documents for the applicant by the deadline (2). 3. We will submit the certificate of eligibility application form to the Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau on the student s behalf. If it is accepted, the certificate of eligibility will be sent to Gifu Kiezai University from the Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau. 4. We will send the certificate of eligibility and the official letter of admission to the admitted student. 5. The admitted student must apply for a college student visa or student visa by presenting his/her passport, the certificate of eligibility and the letter of admission to the Japanese Embassy or Consulate. 6. Visa will be issued. 7. The admitted student will apply for landing permission at a port of entry by presenting his/her passport, certificate of eligibility and the letter of admission. For the applicants in Japan 1. We will mail a letter of result to the applicant on the day of announcement. To the accepted applicant, we will also mail notification of acceptance and payment form. The accepted student must pay the entrance fee and tuition by the deadline (1). If we do not receive the payment within a certain period, we will cancel the acceptance. 2. When the payment has been completed, we will mail the admission packet. The accepted student must fill out all admission forms included in the application form for certificate of eligibility by him/herself, and submit all necessary documents by the deadline (2). 3. We will send the official letter of admission to the admitted student. 4. The admitted student must apply for a college student visa or student visa by presenting his or her passport and the letter of admission to a Japanese Embassy or Consulate by himself or herself.

5 9 Other important matters 1. In case you have falsified anything in your documents, we will revoke the admission even after we sent the letter of admission, and will not return the documents. 2. In case you decline the admission to GKU after receiving the certificate of eligibility, you must return the certificate of eligibility and the letter of admission to GKU as soon as possible. 3. In case you decline the admission after you have paid the admission fee and tuition, the fee will only be reimbursed if you have unavoidable reasons. If you have those reasons, you need to ask for the form to GKU, fill it out and submit by March 27 (Fri.), We will return the tuition except for the admission fee. Your request after the deadline will be rejected.
