1. Start Log Monitor All addresses on below are user bank logical word address 1. Enable SPI function Write Address : 240(decimal),content:A600(hex) 2. Program Unix timestamp (Bit 16~31) Write Address : 000 (decimal), content: UTC(Bit 16~31) 3. Program Unix timestamp (Bit 0~15) Write Address : 001(decimal), content: UTC(Bit 0~15) 4. Program temperature measurement interval in second Write Address:002(decimal),content: interval time 5. Program minimum operation temperature point (0 to -20 ) in 0.25 resolution called (temperature offset) onward. If minimum is higher than 0, input 0 Write Address:003(decimal) content: minus of minimum temperature x 4 eg. -10 input 28(hex) 6.Program Over temperature alarm 1 limit in 2 complement format in 0.25 resolution Write Address:262(decimal), content: Over Temperature X 4 eg. 20 input 50(hex) 2
7. Program Under temperature alarm 1 limit in 2 complement format in 0.25 resolution Write Address:263(decimal), content: Over Temperature X 4 eg -10 input FFD8(hex) 8. Program Alarm 1 count which used to count the number of samples which are out of limit range, to trigger the alarm 1 Write Address:264(decimal) bit 3-8, content: max Clear previous alarm 1 status on bit 1 and keep other bits unchanged Write Address:264(decimal) bit 1 with 0 10.Program Over temperature alarm 2 limit in 2 complement format in 0.25 resolution Write Address:266(decimal), content: Over Temperature X 4 eg. 20 input 50(hex) 11. Program Under temperature alarm 2 limit in 2 complement format in 0.25 resolution Write Address:267(decimal), content: Over Temperature X 4 eg -10 input FFD8(hex) 12. Program Alarm 2 count which used to count the number of samples which are out of limit range, to trigger the alarm 2 and keep other bits unchanged Write Address:264(decimal) bit 9-14, content: max 63 3
13. Clear previous alarm 2 status bit 2 and keep other bits unchanged Write Address:264(decimal) bit2 with Program status control word to start the log Monitor once IO control word programmed Write Address : 260 (decimal), content:0001(hex) 15. Program IO control word to start log monitor Write Address : 240(decimal), content: a000(hex) 16. Read IO control word Read Address : 240(decimal) The temperature measurement and logging is now started 4
1 a, Check Alarm State Only During the trip, the user may want to simply scan and check if some tags have alarm triggered already. This checking can be done WITHOUT stopping the logging. (stopping and starting will clear all previous records, and hence is not advisable in the middle of a trip) 1. Read the alarm 1 status word bit 1, If bit 1 is 1, mean alarm was triggered Read Address : 264(decimal) bit 1, content: be read back if alarm was triggered 10(binary) will 2. Read the alarm 2 status word bit 2, If bit 1 is 1, mean alarm was triggered Read Address : 264(decimal) bit2, content: 100(binary) or 110(binary) will be read back if alarm was triggered 5
2. Stop Log Monitor, Check Alarm State and turn on alarm LED if alarm was triggered 1. Program status control word to stop the log Monitor Write Address : 260 (decimal), content:0002(hex) 1. Read the alarm status word bit 1, If bit 1 is 1, mean alarm 1 was triggered Read Address : 264(decimal) bit 1, content: be read back if alarm was triggered 10(binary) will 2. Read the alarm status word bit 2, If bit 2 is 1, mean alarm 2 was triggered Read Address : 264(decimal) bit2, content: 100(binary) or 110(binary) will be read back if alarm was triggered 4. Program alarm status word bit 0 to turn on LED if alarm was triggered and keep other bits content unchanged Write Address : 264 (decimal) bit 0, Content: 1, 6
5. Disable SPI Write Address : 240(decimal), content: 0000(hex) 6. Read IO control word Read Address : 240(decimal) The temperature measurement and logging was stopped 7
3. Reset LED control state, Get Number of Measurement Records and Get actual measurement records, 1. Enable SPI function Write Address : 240(decimal),content:A600(hex) 2. Reset alarm status bit 0 for control LED and keep other bits unchanged Write Address : 264(decimal) bit 0 with 0 3. Get Unix timestamp (Bit 16~31) Read Address : 000 (decimal), content: UTC(Bit 16~31) 4. Get Unix timestamp (Bit 0~15) Read Address : 001(decimal), content: UTC(Bit 0~15) 8
5. Get temperature measurement interval in second Read Address:002(decimal),content: interval time 5. Get the temperature offset, read value divided by 4 is temperature offset in which will be used to calculate the reading temperature Read Address : 003(decimal), content: Temperature offset 6. Read back the number of temperature measurement record, (maximum is 10752) Read Address : 004(decimal) content: number of records 9
7. Program the starting index of log to transfer data from external memory to tag memory As the tag memory was designed to hold 366 records each time, so, the index should be 366Xn (n=0,1,2 29) the last n value can be determined from step 6 Write Address : 261 (decimal), content: 016E(hex) x n 8. Program status control word to transfer the recorded measurement data to tag memory Write Address : 260 (decimal), content: 000a(hex) 9. Check status control word bit 2 whether record transfer completed or not by condition &0x0004!=0 Read Address : 260 (decimal), content: 0006(hex) if transfer success 10. Read measurement result from tag memory starting word address from 5 to 187. each word contain two measurement record. temperature in record 0 = (read value (Bit 8-15) offset(result from step 5))/4 temperature in record 1 = (read value (Bit 0-7) offset(result from step 5))/4.. Read Address : 5 +n (decimal) (n=0 to 182) content: two record result If the total measurement result more than 366 records, go back to step 7 to get more result from external memory 10
11. Disable SPI Write Address : 240(decimal), content: 0000(hex) 12. Read IO control word Read Address : 240(decimal) 11
